Starting to really love this brewing system.
First I might be a little bias as I like OXO products as they all seem to be very high quality and always reliable. I love this as I can easily make espresso or like an Americano, I can simply double the volume with additional hot water as recommended in the instructions. Quick and easy, simply grind your fresh roasted beans to a slightly coarse espresso size grain size, and then add it to your OXO as instructed, and tamper it once you have the correct amount. Add your boiling water to the line indicated and give it a full 1 to 1.5 minutes to bloom. Then press a few times and you will have some nice amazing espresso which will need to be diluted for coffee strength. If you go over 1.5 minutes, it will lean a bit more bitter. So far I've made about 16 batches using 5 different freshly roasted coffee beans and the majority have been exceptional. Easy to break down for cleaning, and easy to use. Very nice and would highly recommend if you like a nice strong coffee.

Paid for itself in a week
This is a well designed well made coffee maker. Easy to use and great results. I was spending a lot on coffee, just plain old drip. I had been using a larger coffee pot but always ended up making too much. This is a great size for personal use. Easy to clean not all reusable no pods no paper cups. I was buying 1 or 2 cups a day $3/$4 each time. With this the coffee is better, stronger and cheaper.

Great Product!
I didn't know what to think before I got this brewer. Now I've been using it every day. This is creating some of the best cold brew I've ever had. If you follow the instructions and use an espresso grind on the coarse side and let it brew for 5 minutes, you'll get a really strong concentrate. With a 2:1 ratio with water, it's perfect. I don't drink hot coffee, so this was something that I was looking forward to using for travel. It's really simple to use. It's easy and the coffee is incredible.

Love it
Makes great hot and cold concentrate as long as you have a fine grind and tamp it down. Would give 5 stars, but it seems less efficient than other brew methods (uses a ton of beans if tamped down to marked lines). Taste is outstanding. No noise if you ground your beans already. Easy to clean design. Canโt speak to build quality as Iโve only had it for about a month and have used it a dozen times. No issues so far. Other reviews recommend tamping down in a few stages (add some of the coffee, tamp, repeat) in order to prevent the water from dripping through the cake too quickly, but Iโve found that one load and tamp works fine. YMMV

Easy to use, easy to clean and store
I like cold brew concentrate. My Toddy takes 12 hours, so you have to start brewing in the morning. With the new food waste laws, it can be hard to dispose of a pound of wet grounds. I can brew smaller amounts faster by sous vide, or by my FoodSaver or jar vacuum-but those methods are potentially messy. I like the Oxo. I can vacuum ground beans in a Mason jar and brew several batches quite easily, store the concentrate in the fridge and quickly make good coffee every morning. My Oxo is well-made, simple to use, has great instructions, is easy to clean, and stores neatly and easily. I highly recommend it.

Not worth it
I usually love Oxo stuff and try and buy their products as much as possible. However this product is a big fail. When you do as they instruct the water passes through way to much. I would think if you played around with the grounds and got the exact grind correct and put the right pressure on the tamper it would work better. But I did not want to have to tinker with it. I even tried a filter in the bottom next to their filter and slowed it down some, but is just pours through. I forget about trying it with any teas. However, a very slight change in their design would make this a winner. By putting a sliding disk or a flip up lid or something on the bottom next to the filter would hold the water in until you released it. Then you could time it for however you want, then push the pump down and voila, you have tea or coffee. No worry about the grind also. It is a very slight redisgn to make it a good product. But as now I cannot recommend it for the average person.BTW, I am an inventor that has over 40 patents to his name in various fields.
