Birchwood Casey Barricade Rust Protection

I use this on my firearms as well as some steel tools that I've had to remove rust from using Evap-O-Rust. It has a pleasant scent and the spray pattern is a fine mist - almost a fog - that covers evenly. What I have noticed is that it goes on wet then, after a time, it seams like the solvent evaporates leaving a protective sheen that is only slightly oily.I like that it is a quick way to ensure that my firearms are protected without having to do a lengthy full field stripping and cleaning.

I have used this product for many years on shotguns and rifles. I hunted in brackish to salt water in Florida and this product keep my shotguns rust free.

Great product! I have been using this Barricade for years for all of my firearms and shop equipment. It provides great lubrication and metal rust / pitting protection without attracting dust or grime. I have tried many other products but this is the one I keep coming back to.

Did not know you need to ware gloves when using this Item.

I thought Ballistol was the way to go for keeping guns and gear in shape. Nope, not for me. Doesn’t do much for rust protection. I kept my reloading dies and tools in a climate controlled room with desiccant packets. I washed my hands and dried them before touching my dies so there was as little/no oil on me as there could be.. fully embraced the ocd but ballistol still didn’t protect my gear from rust and I don’t live in a particularly humid/salty climate.Then heard about Barricade and Rig, gave them a try and I’m a believer. I buy cans of the stuff and go to town on any gun, tool, magazine, etc I have and not a spec of corrosion since.I detail stripped my Marlin 1895 down to the screw, blasted every bit of surface, corner I could find. Put her up for months because we were moving. After finally hitting the range recently I broke her down to inspect and true enough, minty fresh as can be. Thanks for the great product. A+++

I know we all have our favorite lubricant and rust inhibitor, But this stuff is the best I have come across. I live on the ocean so salt air is the issue. I applied Barricade last year and no other application and I'm still rust free and a film still coats the metal.

When I received the item, everything looks fine. But when I was trying to use it, OMG! I can not use it!!!!! There's no SPRAY!!!!!!Definitely not recommend this one!!!I am soooooooo disappointed
