Fine EDC
Definitely a fine entry into the low to mid-price EDC. Blade is extremely sharp out of the box and the axis lock works great. It feels good in the hand and is on the lighter side. A fine addition to my growing collection.

5 Stars for a SMOOOOTH Operating Blade
Update OCT-24: I liked this knife enough that I bought a 2nd one, this time the GREEN version. To my delight, the scales are nicely textured to provide a firm grip with wet, muddy, or gloved hands; whereas the Black version is smooth carbon-fiber like. I liked THIS knife so much, that I bought TWO more - one for each vehicle and one for my son. After a couple months' use - I've only had to touch up the blade once with an 800-grit belt set at 20-degrees. With two passes - it was newspaper slicing sharp. I'm upgrading my review to 5-stars! Although, I still wish it had a reversable pocket clip...Original Review AUG-24: First off, I am a “knife nerd” owning FAR more blades than I need or could ever use. I collect some knives just for their uniqueness, style, looks, technical features, etc. I also carry a knife nearly 100% of the time, whether working around the ranch, watching TV, going to church, or in business meetings – so I know what makes a good Every Day Carry (EDC) blade. The Sandvik 14C28N Steel used in this blade is a GREAT choice. It is sometimes called the “Goldilocks” of knife material, in that it isn’t TOO hard/brittle, has high rust/corrosion resistance (due to its 14% Chromium), ease of sharpening (e.g., compared to properly hardened D2), and excellent edge retention. While not as “tough” as good D2, it is close – and has far better EDC properties of corrosion resistance and flexibility. It is a much better steel than 410/420/440A/440B stainless, and not as expensive as some “Super Steels” such as LC200N, N360, VG-10, or CPM15V.The HIGHTRON uses a flat ground, mild clip-point style blade with a generous thumb-notch and ambidextrous thumb-stud for opening. However, neither are truly needed as the ball-bearings in the pivot joint make this virtually a “gravity knife” that it can be opened and/or closed (both to lock) simply by gravity… no wrist flip needed! Simply pull back on the spring-loaded axis lock and the blade swings free – open or closed. The synthetic G10 scales (handles) are smooth and lightly textured to look like carbon fiber. In my opinion, the smooth scales are better suited for a “business carry” than an outdoor/hunting knife. The pock-clip is NOT ambidextrous but does allow a deep “blade tip up” carry with about ¼” of scale visible above the clip.My reasons for only giving 4 stars instead of 5 are two-fold: 1) this knife should sell for around $35~$40, not $60. There are plenty of good knives with similar (or better) features for lower cost. 2) For this price-point ($60 at time of review), an EDC knife must have an ambidextrous pocket clip (at minimum), preferably a 4-way (ambidextrous with point-up or down carry) mounting clip.

Very sharp
Great little slicey knife. Very thin with a good factory edge. Thanks to Neeves Knives for showcasing this little known (to me but maybe many) knife company

HIGHTRON Sharplyn DONUT Pink Folding Pocket Knife
Never have I ever had the desire to own a pocket knife before... but then I saw this little donut sprinkle situation and I just knew it was meant to be in my life. I was carrying it in my purse for emergencies... but it turns out you can't go into lots of places with a blade in your bag! So now it lives in my car for emergencies. It's VERY sharp. It's also easy to open and close without being scared you'll cut a finger off. It's so cute! I love it. I'd buy it again.

Falls short of a great knife
Arrived decently sharp. The blade stock on this knife is nice and thin, almost half the thickness of some of the more expensive knives I own. As a pure sliver, it's great. Goes through material with no resistance.G10 scales are grippy enough and keep the weight down. It has small partial steel liners just around the lock for strength. The tension on the cross bar lock is good. Very strong locking system.I really like the thumb studs on this knife. The deployment hole on the blade, though, isn't great. The finger tip just doesn't fit in there very easily.I gave this 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 because of the pivot. After a day or so of use, the action on the knife got super stiff and the blade got the smallest bit of play. I noticed the internal stop pin was rubbing against the scale on one side causing the bad action.I can't loosen the pivot to fix the issue. It's free spinning and fixed together with locktite or something. Only one side has a t8 hole, the other side is smooth. The more I try, the closer I get to stripping the pivot screw. Very frustrating.Could have been a great budget knife. I like everything else about it

so far so great, great EDC, good price, pleasantly surprised
I had some mixed expectations for this knife, but it shocked me right away! Packaging is dirt simple no frills like some brands where you are clearly paying way too much for fancy packaging along with your high quality knife. They even included a little desiccant pack. I've had a few Chinese produced EDC knives recently and some were just so-so, one was quite good, but this one stands out for sure. It easily feels like it competes with my Bencmade EDC options. Bear in mind this steel is not a super tough/durable type meant for foresting work, etc. But it excels at general daily tasks with corrosion resistance. And this sucker came shaving razor sharp and I haven't had to resharpen it yet! Many boxes have been opened and much cardboard has been slashed, rope has been cut, etc.I think the the only possible complaint is the mild lack of traction. It's not at all 'slippery' and it has an interesting texture with enough general grip I think, but it could be a little more aggressive. Your mileage may vary of course and that's just knives in general, buy the grip level you need for the application. The blade profile is nice, balance is good, and it weighs in at just 2.84oz (80.46g). The hinge is crazy smooth and fluid. Some may think it is a bit too loose, but again YMMV based on preference. This one is so smooth it can be flicked open, which I think is rather nice. A downside may be that it can also flick closed, I like that too, but you really have to be mindful of finger positioning when you do it.Overall I really like it a lot. It's easily up there with my other good quality knives. And price to performance value is great. Fit and finish excellent.
