it's a hit! super great powerhouse of a gem ~
Great book and reference guide, the kind you go back to. This is my 4th buy, if you let it float out there, it gets snagged. Direct and concise, he names names where more bllowy books (that belarus one comes to mind) do not, they'll say, Wall St. firm as opposed to which one, etc. Funny, witty, horrific, all at once.

Great bathroom reader, probably not meant to read at one sitting despite short length.
This book does cover lots of conspiracies, and I found more often than not they made sense. The book is a great bathroom reader, where you can pickup a story in a few minutes and put the book down. I didn't believe every story I read, but I liked the chance to get a different perspective on so many varied events. Hopefully you'll get several "You've got to be kidding me!" moments from this book, which will send you to the library or web in disbelief. It's a small and short book, but each story is also quite compact. I think it would not be a good book to try to read all the way through at one sitting, but if you enjoy taking stories a few at a time, this book could be an interesting purchase.

Zepezaur is Superb
I read this book right after september 11th when I was curious about why someone might want to attack the United States. After reading this book all I can say is WOW! Still I had to admit that I was more than a little dubious about the claims this book makes. I spent several months doing research and was severely disappointed when it all checked out. The CIA's Greatest Hits is the short version of some of the sketchiest things we are never taught in school.Thinking about this kind of stuff tends to make my guts and my intellect roll. In fact, it may be easier to call the book propaganda and lies so I wouldn't have to think about the consequences of our government killing all those people. If you accept it as truth (or just do the long hours of research like I did) you will probably start to ask some difficult questions about the way the government actually works and how it purports to work and why there is such a massive gulf between two. This book takes some of that pressure off by presenting the information with funny little graphics and a tongue in cheek style that allow you to keep reading instead of getting bogged down and depressed. You can even laugh out loud occasionally.Zepezaur does a superb job here because the book appeals to wide range of people. Someone who is totally unfamiliar with politics could pick this up and finish in a couple nights of light reading. This book scores major points with me because it's easily approachable to those who don't have a strong backing in history, yet the battle hardened Chomskyite will no doubt find new info.I do wish he had cited sources on the pages themselves instead of in an index. It just makes them easier to check out for people who think this book is full of lies.I also just want to say that thought it was really funny when one reviewer said "Yes, the CIA has made mistakes" and another responded by saying "A decades-long pattern of murder and subterfuge does not equal an occasional mistake." Another reviewer said that the book was disrespectful...I think it's sad that "respect" means hiding the truth about egregious crimes. After reading the book I ended up emailing Mark Zepezaur with a couple questions. He was extremely accommodating and super friendly. I also got to talk to him briefly during a book tour and he has been one of the more politically articulate people I have ever met.If you liked this but felt that it was a little short or didn't present enough hard facts check out another (short) book called Addicted to War: Why the US can't Kick Militarism. Mark Zepezaur also did a similar comic series called "US History Backwards."

sparse on details and analysis, cute cartoons
This is a short book on CIA malfeasance. It definitely makes you think twice about the mythology of American rectitude. If even half of what the book purports is true, the deep state is alive and well and wreaking havoc and making a mockery of American ideals.Don't expect detailed analysis or cogent arguments about what is presented, although sources are listed at the back. The cartoons accompanying each listed malfeasance are a nice distraction, but none make a lasting impression.

"The CIA's Greatest Hits": An Important and Unique Insight on the CIA's Misdeeds and Crimes
In having received the book of "The CIA's Greatest Hits" by author and researcher, Mark Zepezauer, I was quite taken aback with what an American intelligence organization has done throughout history since it was founded in 1947. The crimes and misdeeds were based on decades of research by authors like Zepezauer in intimate detail and I have been surprised that the CIA has had a total disregard for international affairs by intervening in those countries with certain governments that the U.S. never liked and the cost has been way too high in blood and treasure in the process. Personally, I remained very impressed with the many chapters on what the CIA's deadly agenda has done both in foreign and domestic matters. I also think that those who read such books on what used to be the Soviet KGB and other nations' intelligence organizations and certain secret services should definitely read Mr. Zepezauer's little book and I highly recommend it because the CIA is as much of a remaining presence and threat as ever. With no accountability from the U.S. government on its nefarious activities in historical terms, IT IS A DIRE WARNING for the world as well as the United States itself.

Conspiracy theories and CIA's support of dictatorships as part of American foriegn policy
If you want more details, this isn't the book for you, however, it does give sources for more detailed reading. And while I'm not into conspiracy theories, it does point some out in regards to the Kennedy assassinations for example. And 9/11.I'm familiar with some of the events covered by the book from other sources, including CIA sources. So I'd probably say the book is spot on to a large extent and provides some additional features.I'd recommend this book for a broad overview and then for researching further in depth into those things you are interested in.It, as others pointed out, provides the reasons people from other countries dislike the American government and it's the support of terrorist actions (in fact our government twice pointed out that any definition it came up with would implicate the U.S. as a terrorist nation).

The Truth shall set you free from USA Imperialism and 'deep state'.
It is a small volume, but what a pun ch it packs. Every citizen of the USA should have a copy with them at all times. Then they will know how long they have been lied to, and also learn the damage that the USA has done to other sovereign countries and their people around the world.

You thought you knew who the "bad guys" were? Think again!
This book is a great introduction to some of the most frightening actions the CIA has undertaken in the name of national security. Each "hit" is efficiently summarised in two facing pages. The author manages a healthy level of sarcasm while keeping you focused on the facts and their (often terrible) consequences thus making this book impossible to put down. The fact that I had been to some of the places involved (one of them just two weeks before!) made it even more compelling.Excellent as well is the bibliography at the end that tells you where to look if you want to confirm the facts or get more background information on them.Amazing read! However, it makes you wonder what the future holds, in particular in the light of the events that have taken place since this book was published.

Superb short executive style survey of the CIA's crimes
Excellent short survey of the CIA's 'intelligence' activities around the world - rigging elections, fomenting insurgencies, toppling democratic governments who don't toe the US line, assassinations, and so on..... A short book, 2 page 'executive summaries' of each of the CIA's 'greatest hits'.
