Life saver if you work outside
I had bought this for my boyfriend who works outside all day and he uses it everyday. It makes the super hot days much more bearable and puts of a decent amount of air. For its size and compatibility it works quite well.

Love the fan, not the battery
I bought 3 of these in different colors from 2 “different venders.” Long story short, they are the same time exact product. They also cost the same, have the same instructions, the same packaging, the same pros and the same cons. The only difference I've experienced was that the orange color fan took 16 days to reach me, whereas the others took 10.Here's my review:Set-up: These each arrived with around 50-60% charge. They reached full charge within a few hours of plugging them into my cell phone charger. The actual instruction booklet isn't very helpful, so it's a good thing that these are easy to figure out. I did refer to the instructions for attaching the strap, because I figured I was missing something really silly as I struggled to do the threading step, but the directions were no help. The pictures didn't even match up with the words. Heads up, I'm pretty sure that the straps are just a huge pain to put on and probably not worth using. If you do try to attach them, I had success using a thin wire to help thread the loops. You could probably also attach them to the fan’s clothes clips in a pinch.Function: I like the options these fans present. There is a little stand to set it down on a flat surface - perfect for pointing at you when you're cooking, sitting outside, etc. There's the neck strap so you can wear it while on the move - not a favorite of mine, since it's harder to direct the direction of airflow. Lastly, you can clip it on your clothes, which is my favorite by far. I love that these are designed so that you can walk around with the feeling of a fan blowing up your shirt. That's a guilty pleasure almost anyone can relate to. With these fans, you can clip them to your pant waist, then clip the bottom of your shirt over the top of the fan. And voilà, instant satisfaction! Just be forewarned that your kids may find you too embarrassing to hang around if you wear these like this in public.Battery life: Here's where the inevitable womp womp rears its head. It's probably no surprise that you will not get anywhere close to 20 hrs of working time out of these fans, so do not buy them based on that claim. From my experience, I can get around 4 hrs of use at the top fan speed. If I set to the lowest speed, I believe I get around 14 hrs. I say “believe” because I tested this by starting the fans in the late afternoon to let them run overnight. They were dead by the time I checked them at 7 AM.Final thoughts: Are these fans worth the cost? Probably not. Do I like them? Yes! For me, having a portable fan that can blow under my shirt in hot weather, no matter how ridiculous it looks, is amazing. Just make sure to plan accordingly for the short battery life!

Powerful personal cooling fan; easy solution for neck strap
First, the problem with the neck strap is that the thin cord on the end of each side of the strap is far too flexible to go through the flat piece that is supposed to hold them. I solved the problem by taking one of those thin vinyl-coated wires, the kind you use to rewrap a loaf of bread, as that’s stiff and yet flexible enough to feed through the holes. Put the cord loop between the two ends of the wire and then tightly twist the two wire ends around each other to trap and hold the cord loop.I chose the orange color for this COMLIFE Portable Mini Waist Fan because it makes the fan visible and obvious so I don’t accidentally set it down and forget to pick it up again. The fan worked very well at last Saturday’s PokemonGO Community Event even though the temperature was an average of 98 degrees F. all afternoon. The strap is adjustable, and the fan is heavy enough to stay in the upper center of my chest in order to blow the cooling air steadily onto my neck and face. There are 5 speed adjustments, and I found that using speed 3 provided enough breeze to keep me comfortable without depleting the battery too quickly. Occasionally I turned it all the way up to speed 5 which quickly cooled me enough to return to speed 3. I especially like the easy push-button control and the LED digital screen that indicates the speed and the amount of remaining power.

Good power, multiple speeds, and great clips! Need instructions on attaching the lanyard
Short version: yes, I recommend this portable fan. It provides good airflow, is rechargeable, and has opposing-direction clips for multiple mounting options. It needs (intelligible) instructions on installing the neck lanyard (see image). While the opposing clips (one facing up, the other down) offer multiple attachment options, the weight of the unit limits their use to a sturdy support such as a belt. Attempting to use it to cool the face without holding it in my hand, I clipped it to my shirt. It was too heavy. The only option was to hang it around the neck using the lanyard. That was a problem, and the reason it is only 4 stars instead of 5. After multiple sessions trying it, I have yet to be able to attach both ends to the fan. The instructions (see image) are "unclear" (polite way of saying "useless"). It seems apparent that the loop of string needs to loop through the two holes on each side. However, on one side, with pushing it in, twisting, pushing/pulling, and patience, I finally got it through. On the other side, the string piles up inside the housing, never emerging. Trying to push a single thread through, to then pull the string back through, the thread also piles up and does not come out.A completely different method of attachment, and/or instructions that clearly explain and demonstrate the process, would have resulted in 5 stars. So yes, I recommend this portable fan for use by hand, clipped to belt, or positioned on a solid surface. For the neck, you would need to be creative.

Surprisingly Useful for Staying Cool on the Go
At first, I thought this waist fan would be a bit of a gimmick, but it’s turned out to be a game changer for me. I tend to overheat easily, and when I’m busy or moving around a lot, regular fans just don’t cut it. They’re never pointed where I need them! This one clips right onto my belt, and blowing it into my shirt? Unbelievably effective. It doesn’t take much airflow to make a huge difference when you’re feeling overheated. On the lowe settings it's super quiet. The hands-free design is a life-saver, especially when I’m busy in the workshop. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and honestly keeps me much cooler than I expected. Definitely worth it if you need a reliable way to stay cool while staying active!

Probably the best waist fan I've used so far!
The media could not be loaded. I get very warm a lot so I have a lot of fans. Everywhere. When I say this is probably one of the best waist fans, trust me. I own probably at least10 types of waist/lanyard/neck fans! I included a pic of some of my current waist fans 😉. I won't mention how many other handheld or portable camping fans I have lol (heck I even have an oragami one from Japan!)Let me explain why this is one of the best. A lot of waist fans have poor clip design. They use plastic that doesn't bend well or terrible clips that are too small. Some don't even come with a shirt clip so your shirt ends up blocking the intake. Or they place the waist clip too low on the body of the fan, so when you have it on your waist the weight of it tips it back away from your body! With the Comlife they use meta clips with a nice flared lip on them. While stiff, the flaring makes it easy to slide into pants or shirts. Metal is also more durable than plastic, with more bend-ability. The Comlife also positions the clipat almost the highest point. There is very little tip back when hooked to your waist. If there was some tip back it has an adjustable air stream so you can aim the flow back towards your body! This is why this is one of the best waist fans, it actually can put the air on your body where you want it. Other fans just blow into your shirt. You can also use the Comlife in two other ways. There is a little metal loop than can rotate out to prop the fan up. This is for desk or table mode. You can also attach a lanyard (included) to the fan. The lanyard is a bit tricky to thread through the hole, but a paper clip makes the job easy. Note, this is also one of the best lanyard fans I own. The lanyard loops are high on the body of the fan. This insures the fan will aim straight up, and not tip back away from you. And if the airflow is still not quite right the Comlife, again, has an airflow diverter that you can aim the wind back to your body. It really works great. The Comlife has 5 speeds. It's not the most quiet but it's also not the loudest. If you compare it with other similar waist fans it's actually a tad quieter. If you compare it with larger fans, then yeah, it's going to be a lot louder. There's only so much you can do with such a tiny fan blade. You got to spin it faster to get the air. Faster means louder. I would say if you use it outdoors on walks around your waist you would not really be bothered with the noise. In stand mode on a desk, it might be intrusive to you especially on higher settings. The battery on the Comlife is only 4000 mAh. That's not that high for this type of fan. I have a few that are 10,000 mAh. Those tend to have more features like charge bank capability and flashlight. The Comlife has neither of those features. The advantageous of having the smaller battery is weight. The Comlife is lighter than similar fans I have with the larger battery. I do admit the Comlife is wider so it will show some bulk when around your waist. Anyhow, charging is via USB-C. There is a little LED screen that will give you charge status, fan level and battery level. It took about 2.5 hours to charge when new to get to 100%. Charging is 2A max so I think it will take longer than 2 hours the seller claims it will take to fully charge it. So far just casually using it the battery life is pretty average. I would say you will get over 10 hours. I'm not sure about 20 hours that the seller claims. 😬There are a couple things I do wish Comlife can improve on. The outer shell is all hard plastic. It's actually a bit slippery to hold. I wish they added some rubber strips to give some grip. A little flashlight would also be nice, since this little fan would be great to take camping. Other than those two nitpicks I can't really think of anything else. For this review I really prioritised usefulness. As this fan really works great as a waist and lanyard fan, when compared with other brands, I decided to give this 5 stars. I know the charging and battery life isnt quite what the product description states, but even with what I experienced, it doesn't detract that this fan works great when compared with other similar fans. If you need a waist or lanyard fan I do highly recommend the Comlife.

This Thing Is Amazing! Perfect for Staying Cool on the Job!
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first ordered this, but it definitely didn’t disappoint! It’s pretty lightweight on your hip, and it even comes with clips to hold your shirt over it, which is a nice touch. The size is great honestly, you can move around easily without it getting in the way. I’ve had zero issues going up ladders or moving my arms above my head. It feels solid too, so I’m not worried too much about dinging it. It’s well-built, and there are some safety features to keep your fingers safe from the fan.The fan is surprisingly strong. On speeds 1 and 2, it blows plenty of air up my shirt, and I don’t see myself needing to go any higher. That’s a bonus because it means the battery will last longer. It also has a little ring inside the outlet that lets you adjust the airflow by about 15 degrees, which is super handy. I even used it on my desk and was thrilled to find it has a desk stand! It’s quickly become my new favorite fan while working, but I’ll admit, it’s a little louder than most desk fans. On speed 1, it’s fine for me because I wear closed-back headphones, but without them, it might be a bit much for others. For reference, I took a noise reading with my watch (you can see the images). With just my PC running, the noise was around 42 dB. With the fan on speed 1, it jumped to about 62 dB, so you might end up annoying a coworker. But when outside, it's not really an issue and barely noticeable. The display is also a great feature, it shows the fan speed and how much battery is left, as well as the battery level while charging. The fact that you can use it while it’s plugged in is a huge plus for me and shows this product is a bit more premium than others out there.I definitely recommend this fan to anyone needing to stay cool on the job or in the yard!Pros:- Lightweight and easy to wear- Strong airflow, even at lower speeds- Handy adjustable airflow ring- Includes a desk stand- Can be used while charging- Small display shows speed and battery levelNeutral:- Slightly loud for desk use without headphonesCons:- None identified

Great little personal fan
This little fan is a very useful gadget to help keep you cooler when doing outdoor work. I had it clipped to my belt and I didn't even notice the weight after a few minutes. The 5 speed fan can blow from a light breeze to almost desk fan levels at full speed. Before going outside, I charged it to full, set the fan speed to three, and then started working. After about an hour, the battery had drained to 90%. From there, it had a quicker fall-off. It dropped to 80% after 90 minutes. At that point, I stopped working. The difference in cooling is noticeable. I was doing light yard work, trimming hedges and pulling weeds in about 24C and sunny weather. This is usually enough for me to start sweating noticeably through my shirt. The fan kept my back cool enough to minimize the sweat coming through in large quantities. If I set it to full speed, I would have been even cooler. For the fan itself, it charges through a USB-C connector and the battery life display is clear and easy to read. The up and down belt clips are a nice touch so you can clip it in either direction, even sideways to your backpack straps if you're using one and you want to cool your chest or neck. So overall, it's a versatile cooling fan that can do the job at least for a few hours at medium speed before you need to charge it up.

A couple of flaws get in the way
The form factor was good, but some mistakes cost it a few stars. The housing is well-constructed, and seems like decent materials, but it's fairly heavy. I'd expect with the weight that it would be quite quiet, but for something that's a personal fan, this thing is a touch too loud.I'd expect the high settings to be louder, but even at the second setting (out of 5) it's already louder than my floor standing room fan. I was hoping to have something to use while playing guitar or enjoying a beer (or both!) on a hot summer patio, but this would be far too disruptive. There are the clips for hanging it on your belt and tucking into your shirt, and those work reasonably well. The other method of using it, however, is a complete fail. One side of the lanyard attachments doesn't seem to have a proper channel to thread the small loop through. It's got the two holes, but when you thread the loop into one side, it seems to just go deeper into the case, and doesn't appear out the other hole. I could probably thread it through using a very thin bit of bent wire like a guitar string, but this basic function not working is an unfortunate failure. There's a popup stand, and while that's nice, it's really the only option to use it freestanding. There's no way to use it standing straight up, since the intake on the base is flush with the bottom, and setting the unit upright blocks the air intake completely. You can set it on its side, but it rests on the belt clip, and doesn't really end up being terribly stable. All in all, it's a good concept, but the execution isn't quite there.
