Yehuda Gefilte Fish Original, 24 Ounce (Pack of 12)

This Yehuda gefilte fish is great. It has a lovely smooth texture, unlike other brands that have odd hard bits. It was sweeter than I expected, since they sell another style that's labeled sweet. But, I can't stop eating it. Whoever prepared my jars for shipping deserves credit. They covered every jar individually in bubble wrap: top, sides and bottom. Then, they put a cardboard sleeve around each jar. The jars were placed in a box with more bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Every jar was intact. This is exceptional.

Have ordered from this vendor about 4 times. Delivery is very fast. About 2-3 days. I ordered Friday night and got it Tuesday. Order was processed Sunday and they are closed on Saturday. So that is impressive for pride in product delivery. They want you to get this very tasty, low sugar, low sodium and low calorie food promptly. I ordered the 12 pack. Works out price wise as our comparable big store also with low price. About $6.66. Very fair considering as someone else said, no lugging these 12 jars home. Now, these bottles were very well protected. Of all I have ordered, not any were damaged or leaking. Each jar was wrapped in bubble wrap then secured further with individual cardboard sleeves all taped extremely securely. It actually took me about 5 minutes to open each jar , lol. Then all 12 were place in the box with even more protection, those little foam balls. I had to tell you this about the package protection. They really take pride. I love these and we eat them with breakfast. We do not get bored of them. My wife really is bonkers for them and as far as I am concerned, nothing is too good for her and when I see the smile on her face when she looks for the little carrots in the jar, it makes me smile and cry inside. So go ahead. Indulge and enjoy.

Low calorie, high protein treat.

I am always fascinated by situations where you have three five star reviews and one 1-star review. I have been a gefilte fish maven for over a half century. For many years my #1 store brand was Rokeach Sweet recipe. A few years ago I tried Yehuda's original and sweet recipe, loved the taste of both, and they became my new #1 choice. I totally agree with the two other 5-star reviews. Great taste, low calorie recipe. Lowest price at my local supermarkets is $7 so this deal saved me about $14 and no lugging 12 bottles home from the market. Another Amazon vendor, selling this very same Yehuda's, has four reviews averaging 4.5 out of 5 Stars. Three are 5 Star reviews and the single 3-Star reviewer says: 'Great gefilte fish' but dinged it for a bottle that arrived leaking. So basically, four 5-Star reviews based on taste and quality. None of these four are the people reviewing it here. So now basically SEVEN 5-Star taste/quality reviews vs. one 'putrid.' Hmmmmmmm! Thumbs up consumer reviews do not get much better then this. Note: Let us apply a huge bit of logic to the lone 1-Star review. It is seder, a time for 'tradition.' That means you either serve home made gefilte fish OR your favorite store brand that has been time tested over many years (that was Rokeach for me). Anyone serving a 'new' brand of gefilte fish at a seder would, of course, TRY IT first! To do otherwise, as Spock so often said, would be 'illogical' and frankly speaking unimaginable. Note #2: When reading the so-called 1-Star review consider that two of the largest supermarkets in our area, Nob Hill/Raleys and Safeway have been successfully carrying and selling Yehuda's Original and Sweet fish for YEARS. Just devoured a piece....Yummmmmeeee!!!!

Just what we wanted. Arrived in a timely manner and undamaged. Kids like this gefilte fish.
