I ordered two of these stands -- 1 each from 2 different (Chinese)brands. This one was $17 and competitor for $28.I found this one to be better in every sense and cheaper too -- that rarely happens.1. The adapter screw was better. My tripod screw got stuck in the adapter for competitor's product.2. This one is larger in comparison3. Feels sturdy4. The base sponge is better quality -- seems to have a rubbery/grippy feel vs competitor product has cheap sponge.Overall a great buy

This product is a bit on the wobbly side I already had a tripod so I just connected it to my tripod please be sure you are paying close attention when you are opening the Box unfortunately my little screw did not come in a separate package so it fell to the ground and I didn't know I had to search for it but everything was there I was able to use this product for my projector and my Mini speakers And honestly it works just fine it's not 100 percent sturdy but it does the job

As advertised. Dimensions in mm exactly right. Does say that it fits a 16" computer - really 15.25". The adapter needed for most camera stands is floating around in the platform plastic bag - that is not sealed. I can see why some get lost. The USB / sound jack / other connections are covered by the metal lips on the right and left sides - so I stuck two wood shims towards to the rear of the computer to lift up the rear. I may take a hack saw and do some cut outs. Overall - reasonably sturdy - and for the money - great computer platform for my camera tripod - which mostly sat unused in a corner of the room.

I got this to use with a laptop or a projector. the small metal tripod mount prevents the tray from sitting directly on the tripod plate. the tray sits slightly higher that the tripod plate and has a small contact surface. so no matter what the tray is always wobbly/ unstable. this is true even when nothing else is on the tray. so if you're using this for a projector do do murals / large artwork then it will be frustrating. i wouldn't recommend it for that. Its portable and affordable. but i was not able to use it for anything i initially got it for

For the money this thing is amazing!As a photographer I use it on a standard tripod for a laptop for tethered shooting tethered on location.I'm very happy with it and how it performs.I would / will buy again

The primary deal-breaker was that the description says it will fit a 16" laptop... but it doesn't. The actual dimension is only 15.25". If it had fit however, I think it would have been too flimsy for a full size laptop. Even though it seems fairly heavy, the tray itself is not very stable and twists so that one corner will be lower than the other. Also, as others have stated, the adapter was not included but it wasn't needed anyway to attach to my tripod.

I must be lucky that the 1/4 to 3/8 adapter was included, but I can see it easily falling out of the unsealed plastic bag.My Manfrotto tripod has removable head. I attached the tray directly to the center column, so there is no need to use the adapter.When attached properly, this tray can be a good platform for laptop, camera, lens, anything that's not too heavy.In conclusion, this is a good enough option for travel, nothing more nothing less.

I’m using this to mount a projector to a tripod for outdoor viewing on an uneven surface. It works wonders. It’s basically just thin sheet metal but the finish is nice, and the included strap works well without obstructing the fans. It included the threaded adapter to a standard tripod.
