This was a must read for my breastfeeding counselor course and it was so informative

I was not expecting such a large, heavy text! But is is great for getting those answers when you have breastfeeding related questions. I have the LLL Breastfeeding Answer book which I use quite frequently. There is a lot of similarity between the two books, but I know I will use both. I keep one at work, and the other at home. Thank you to the author for keeping breastfeeding as simple as possible. The author's other book named "Breastfeeding Made Simple" is one of my faves of all time. I have been a nurse for 35 years and I am IBCLC, and I continue to learn so much from Nancy's books.I highly recommend this book, as well as her others.

An excellent, thorough, breastfeeding resource book. This is a book for breastfeeding helpers, health care professionals, and peer supporters. It is NOT the book I would recommend for a new mother (Nancy Mohrbacher's Breastfeeding Made Simple is perfect for a new mom). The information is backed by research, with references given for everything. The index is extensive. I like that there is a side-bar on each page highlighting the most important information for each section, making it easy to find what you are looking for.

a great text to ad to you library for reference. the appendixes are super helpful. very easy to read and look up a specific concern. give concrete and clear advise

I love Nancy Mohrbacher and this book has a tremendous amount of researched information. HIGHLY recommend this as a resource for any lactation consultant.

it's a textbook for a class. What can I say? It's not riveting, but it's giving me the info I need to learn and pass the class.

This is an excellent resource for any Breastfeeding Counsellor, LLL Leader or Lacation Consultant. There are quick hints next to each paragraph and a comprehensive index to help you find any answers to questions from breastfeeding moms.

Great book, easy to read, well presented material. Well worth the money. Highly recommended. Really glad I bought this text for my course!

This is quite the textbook! Although it is thick and heavy as most textbooks are, the writing is larger and user-friendly. The organization and lay-out of the text makes it easy to find information. The index is also quite detailed. This would be a great reference book to keep on a shelf, but sadly, it is not going to be very portable. (A mom cannot easily put it in her purse or diaper-bag.) I would say this is not going to be that popular for mothers because of this. This is a bit unfortunate, as there is a lot of great information in the book. The general audience that would be used to books of this size would be nursing and medical students, doctors, mid-wives, and so on.It would be great if the authors and publisher came out with a pocket reference version of this book, too. (It would be handy to take to nursing school, med. school, or a shift on the maternity wards, for example).

This book is a great resource tool for helping mothers and is also in simple enough language for clients to understand. There is a fair bit of content repetition but I believe this is for the purpose of ease of use as some content applies to more than one topic.
