surprisingly good dispenserš
i put off making a review until we got to grips with this dispenser and after using it for 4 weeks it is a solid 7/10 and i am very surprised this product isnāt more popular and after trying a couple of different dispensers this is the best of the bunch mainly because it is electric and you just press a button for your hot water to come out as opposed to pumping.cons.1 this dispenser is advertised as a 5L but itās really a 4.5L i filled it with exactly 5 litres and the lid would not go down unless pressed with some force but when i pressed it closed due to the pressure excess water would squirt out of the spout and all over the counter plus if overfilled water will leak out the spout whilst boiling so you canāt fill it to itās actual maximum.2 in the manual it states that when the dispenser has run dry do not press the button again until it is refilled as it can damage the machine but when i lifted the lid there was still two inches of heated water at the bottom so again youāre pretty much getting four and a half litres and not 53 the water gauge like a kettle is at the front of the machine but you canāt see where the level is so you donāt know how much water is left unless you lift the lid again.be good if there was a small ball or other.pros1 solid modern good looking machine2 once boiled you can set the temperature from 40 to 90 degrees and it will maintain that temp for as long as you need it.3 if you want the water to reboil you just press a button or you can set a timer.4 you would think the machine being on all day keeping the water heated at 90 degrees would be a drag on the electric bill but i checked and there is little to no difference itās very efficient.wishlistif the makers of this dispenser do read these reviews then for a future machine it would be great if you could set a timer like a teasmade where you could put cold water in the machine at night then set the timer for 8 hours it then switches itself off and when the time is up it boils nice hot water for you by the time you get upšscore 7/10

No more waiting for the kettle to boil

Not nearly instant
Took about 20 mins to boil a very small amount of water. Dispensing stream was inconsistent in flow, sputtered quite a bit, and seems to lose pressure quickly. Disappointing.

Great dispenser
The media could not be loaded. I was upgrading from my old Breville 2 litre dispenser because I kept needing to refill it so much for 3 people, so I needed a 5 litre one. I was a little bit surprised by the lack of reviews which almost made me not buy this HomeTronix one. However, my expectations for this have been satisfied, I've been using this dispenser for about 2 days now. I calculated that I will get around 14 cups (350ml) out of this 5 litre dispenser.The beverages are hot, it boils to 100°C, and can keep the water warm throughout the day at certain temperatures that you want (40°C, 45, 50, 55,60, 65, 70, 75, 80,85,90, and there's a button to re-boil at 100°C if needed). There's also two ways to dispense the water: the button, as well as a catch underneath the nozzle where you can push it with the rim of the cup to release the water, sort of like those ice cube dispensers in fridges.For it being 5 litres, it does take some time to boil a full cold refill, I would say it's about 25 -30 minutes, but then as I mentioned, you can keep that water hot for the rest of the day.The safety feature is great, a padlock comes on when you have finished dispensing the water and then you press it to unlock and then press the dispense button again to use it. The lid comes off easy by just pushing the down on the release button and lifting it up, but it's recommended to refill it while it's off and cooled down.There's some things I wish it had: a platform/drip tray that the cup could sit on; to reduce splashing, and it would have been good if the buttons lit up, however that part wouldn't matter with the kitchen light on in the evening.So far I've used this dispenser for tea, coffee, capuccino, green tea, pot noodle, and refilled a saucepan full of hot water for pasta. It's been great so far!
