After about 20 years, our big-brand toaster broker. Most of the big-brand models cost over $100, and many over $200. That felt ridiculous for a device that basically just heats up coils. My spouse and I decided to try the Bella and it's great. At the time of this review, it cost $35. We got the 4 slice Oatmeal colored one. Looks great in our kitchen and pretty much works just like our old one. A few notes for those that are interested: - Has no bell to indicate it's done. That didn't bother us - especially if the other person is sleeping. - No digital display. The temp control is an old school knob that articulates very nicely. It took us a moment to get used to this because from a distance with our old toaster, we could see the temp setting and make corrections if we forgot to set it how we like it. Easy adjustment for us to make. - It has a removable crumb tray. This is important to us because we beat our toasters up by putting all kinds of foods into it which sends crumbles to the bottom all the time. - It doesn't have a "lift to look" feature...we kind of miss that but it's an easy adjustment for us to make. - Looks great - we do like having a little style / design in our kitchen. It looks like an up-scale product. - Very light-weight. We move it each time to a storage area (i.e. don't let it sit on the counter all the time). I love it! It has a clean and elegant look. The slim design is perfect for our small space. It functions smoothly and is very pleasant to use. I want to keep toasting things haha! It toasts well (not perfectly even, but idc so much about that), and fits two pieces of toast or waffles side by side (I haven't tried bagels yet). Great value for the cost. Seems like it should hold up for a while, but only time will tell.

When I got it I wondered if the material was cheap - but it turned out to be pretty reliable. Looks great on the counter, has a convenient bread crumb latch that slides out and does not require you to tilt the toaster. The heat might be a bit strong - so better to get the settings right on the first toast rather than go back again. Love the sleek design as it saves space on the counter. Good value for the price and the fact that you can register the device with the brand’s site is a nice touch.

Excellent toaster. Does a premium job of heating evenly and consistently to your setting. Controls are simple and easy to use, ....the illuminated 'cancel' button is a good feature, especially when you are half asleep. The heating dial is precise and easy to adjust. The colour is matt and perfect tone, and the brand label is discreet. Easy to clean, and the crumb tray is simple and very effective. Have been using this toaster for 4 months and it works great, very consistent and fast. The shape and the space saving is very useful ....I only use artisan bread and have a smaller kitchen with two people, and this toaster fits perfectly. Well designed quality product. I have been using regular toasters for over 50 years ....and this is way better.
