I am blown away with the quality of Ed Mahony knives. These are the highest quality made in USA knives you can get. If you compare this knife to the popular European, you will notice with this knife you get the best quality knife for 60 bucks and with the other you get the name minus a couple hundred bucks. These knives are tight, made perfect for heavy use, and the blade is perfect thickness for everything heavy. The best feature of Mahoney knives is the finger grove that allows for thrust without risking injury your finger. Nearly every Mahoney knife has this feature and it goes to show you a knife maker that gets it. I have an extensive knife collection, and Ed Mahoney knives are my new favorite. I am looking forward to getting a couple more, the folding knife for 20 bucks looks like a ridiculous deal. I can buy three of these for one of the name brand, and to be honest these are better. The "F" brand hunter utilizes zytel handle and these knives are wood, ivory, bone or leather wrapped wood. I much prefer these options to zytel. I stumbled onto these knives by accident, and I am grateful I did. You can't get none better for any price.
