I love the Stanley Leverlock tape measure functional design... tape stays open when tape pulled out... and button on the bottom recoils the tape when pressed... PERFECT!While the tape measures work perfectly... the product description is not accurate and what I received is not what I ordered..Ordered 2 YELLOW Stanley Leverlock tape measures like the one pictured and like the couple I already own...Received 2 bright RED-ORANGE tape measures... both with the exact same tape measuring functionality BUT NOT YELLOW as advertised and orderedThe marketing packaging of the items received described "high visibility" tape measuresWhile NOT the YELLOW tools I ordered...these RED-ORANGE items work exactly the same...so I have decided to keep them... just wish the product description had not been inaccurate

Great appearance material, readability and accuracy,durability and marking

Gave this to my HANDYMAN son for Christmas. He can't stop raving about it. He FINALLY does not have to worry about his fingers getting sliced once he is done fighting to unlock the tape to rewind. Such a simple change in design eliminates a dangerous feature of a very necessary tool for thousands of jobs around the house and at ALL levels of building projects. GREAT DESIGN. Thanks STANLEY. Very quick shipping. This is a bulky tape, much bigger than the one it replaced. Don't know why manufacturers have to keep making thing larger. I got the red one for visibility so when I misplace it I can find it. Not as good as the lime green one I had for over 20 years and lacks the charts on the back side of the tape but I'm sure it will word just fine.Stan

I bought the 12' LeverLock tape because it is a convenient size to carry around in my pocket. It easily fits in my hand and the rubber overmold provides a comfortable and secure grip. The locking lever rests against my ring finger making it very easy to use. I compared its measurements against my 12" metal ruler and they agreed for both inside and outside measurements.There are a couple of downsides with the compact form factor, however. The tape is only 1/2" wide and will only extend out 36" without support. The numbers and markings are readable, but they would be easier to see on a wider tape. I also happen to have the 16' version of this tape measure. The tape is wider, stiffer, and easier to read, but it does not fit in my pocket and it tends to sit in a drawer.Overall, this may be the perfect tape measure to carry around in your pocket.

Can’t go wrong with Stanley.

I finally got the tape that I wanted.I've ordered others, but to no avail.I ordered this one, going back to the brand I was familiar with. I've ordered less expensive ones, MISTAKE..........The old familiar one is the one.Sturdy as hell, functional as asked, easy as hell to read ( for my old eyes).Overall a great tool regardless of the price.

What can I say they make good products and this one is another good one. Its a good sturdy easy to read tape measure. I like having a fractional measuring tap. This one is worth getting.

Used it 4 or 5 times and the tape cracked on one side at around 9ft and couldn't get it back into the housing mechanism. Cheaply made to break this easily.

I have a few of these. I find them very durable and easy to read.
