MOOD SWINGS

Swing your mood, Eh! :-)
It’s always fascinating to explore how different readers interpret and connect with a collection of stories. These are my thoughts on “Mood Swings” by Rohit Prasad!“Mood Swings” took me on an emotional rollercoaster, fittingly living up to its title. The author’s attempt to align each story with the nine emotions (navras) adds an interesting layer, even though other readers may perceive those emotions differently. Sometimes, allowing stories to breathe without the constraint of predefined emotions can enhance the reading experience. After all, emotions are subjective and multifaceted, right?“Judgement Day” and “Fear leads to anger…” caught my attention the most—perhaps because they resonated with my own inclinations and preferences. That’s the beauty of literature: it speaks to us individually, touching different chords in each reader’s heart.I appreciate storytellers who venture into the uncharted territories of the right brain. Sometimes, it’s the unexpected, the imaginative, and the less formulaic narratives that truly captivate us.So, for those seeking a comfortable yet thought-provoking read, “Mood Swings” seems like a delightful choice.Happy reading, and may your literary adventures continue to swing your mood!

Enjoyed the book
Did I enjoy this book? Sure I did. ‘All Things Great and Small’ and ‘Fortune Favors the Brave’ are my favorites ...but to each his / her / their own. Overall, a great read written in a comfortable reading style. Pick it up and enjoy. You wont regret it.

collection of well-crafted short stories
Author Rohit Prasad is back with a second book! And like his first one this one also is engaging and keeps you hooked till the end. I have always loved well written short stories and this collection doesn't disappoint. Each story reflects human behaviour and is crafted to deliver a surprise to the reader.

Delightful read
This collection of short stories is simply delightful. The characters have been built up very well and very relatable. The author has a very smooth style of narration. The reader is swept up in the flow. And the climaxes were fantastic. Kudos to the author for pulling off an amazing encore!

Bravo
I had been waiting for the author's second book with much expectations, given his amazing debut book. He doesn't fail to meet and exceed them. Wonderful and smooth writing, very believable boy/girl-next-door characters. Funny, sad and shocking...Totally worth the wait.
