Victorinox Swiss Army knife - Ranger Grip 178 Green/Black (0.9663.MWC4)

First of all, it's a big tool. The knife and saw are fairly big. The knife can be opened with one hand using the hole provided to place your thumb. The blade is lockable.You need to press the Victorinox icon to unlock and fold the blade. Half serrations and half normal blade makes the knife very versatile and can do variety of cutting jobs. The serrated edge is very useful while cutting ropes or similar fibrous things.The saw is very good and does its job well. The philip screwdriver is fairly strong and it can help you unscrew really tightened screws or tighten screws pretty well.It has a smaller normal flat screw driver with a can opener . There is also a reamer with an Awl which can be used for making clean holes on belts and similar things and the Awl can be used for stitching. Though you need to learn to use it. There are many YouTube videos for that.The big screwdriver with the wire bender and opener is also useful.It also has a pair of tweezers and a toothpick nicely placed in the body.The body has very good grip and the large body makes it easy to hold and use the tools.Overall and excellent tool - just a little big and that may not allow you to carry it every where and also the knife can look intimidating for some given its size and shape.Probably not for carrying in your pocket everyday but for trips in the woods - an excellent tool.

One of the best victorinox product.If you are looking for a large ,strong blade multitool ...go for it.Edit one:: it's been almost 6 months and almost everyday I carry it in my pocket. Suprisingly it's more comfortable to carry this victorinox than my other smaller handyman. Now I am tempted to buy this one again but trying to resist my temptation. Absolute value for money .The only problem with it is who every lands an eye on this asks me to gift it to them,so just be careful...lol

Superb built quality and amazing serrations on the main blade makes it an all round cutting tool for both indoor and outdoor purpose. The price is a bit on the higher side though as serrated blades are bit difficult to get and this model is replaced with newer versions. Knife is designed to be opened with one hand but one might struggle a bit to get it opened in one shot. Still no complains apart from that. Got it within two days of booking.

A great product with an exceptional saw and main blade...... The tension on the screwdriver is not that great, as it slipped a few times while working.The blade comes sharp and can easily cut you if not careful. The saw being long can cut through anything easily.A good product for bushcraft and camping. Cannot call it an EDC due to weight.

Like all Victorinox's this product is also a great buy. It will last a lifetime - provided one doesn't abuse it. I have many of these blades & I have had them for 30-35 years. Still work beautifully.

This one is my second Swiss knife. Loved the previous one as well but wanted a little bigger this time. This one looks just perfect!You can cut paper ...It's that sharp.
