The description clearly states everything about these - they are flexible, bright, durable and can be setup as brake and turn signal lights. I have had several people ask about them due to how they work and how bright they are. I like that I can control them from my phone or the remote that came with them. It took awhile to install and I ended up ordering some tail light plugs to both power them and enable the brake light and turn signal function. Take your time, plane in advance and have someone help you, even if it’s just to hand you a cold beverage when you finish. I am impressed and would recommend them.

The media could not be loaded. This kit has a nice strong sturdy feel to all of the components. The mounting base and whips are very strong and appear to be very well made. The only potential weak spot is the wiring connection, so you want to take care and make sure the exposed cable is kept to a minimum. The LED controller has two outputs and under normal usage, it keeps both whips running the same light patterns/colors and are always in perfect sync. The only time this is different is if you use the two options turn signal wires and connect them to your turn indicators. When you do this, the respective side whip will flash an Amber/Yellow color while the turn indicator is on. There is also a wire for the brake light which causes both whips to flash red when braking. Otherwise, the LED controller will keep both whips running the same light pattern that you configure them for.There are two ways to use the LED controller and control the lights on the two whips. The kit comes with a small IR remote control. This does work easily and it works immediately out of the box once the kit is wired up and powered on. The remote allows for a number of functions such as selecting from one of about a dozen light patterns; changing the speed of any animation; and changing the overall brightness. The mode button allows selecting one of the preprogrammed modes. There are a few interesting modes that look good, but most are junk. However there are enough that you should be able to find one you like. The only downside is that the remote does not let you select a specific color you want the whips to be. For this, it looks like you would have to download the app for your phone/tablet. However, I do not like trusting some random app on my critical devices, thus I will stick only with the remote. It certainly works well enough to make this kit a very nice light accessory for you to have fun with.

Awesome product! I just wired these up to a battery so I could test the different functions. The red and black wires are for the main power, and then there are 2 others for turn signals, and then 1 for brake lights. I don't have turnsignals, but it would be awesome to have these turn red with the brake light.I have these mounted on my ranger with the plugs that fit in the bed. That mount wasn't included, but I ran the wires through the seal on my back glass and to the battery under the seat. I put a fuse in of course.This barely clears the roof height of my ranger. I wish it was about a foot longer, but the shorter length means they will catch less trees and brush.

Simple and easy to use and install. They look great and are durable. They come with some flags and a bunch of pre-programed sequences. As other reviewers have mentioned, you can not customize existing modes or program you own, however they are just simple addressable LEDs. Probaby WS2811or WS2812. An Arduino will run these if you want to take the time to program it yourself. But that is beyond the scope of this review. As for what they are, its a good product at a good price, comes with everything needed to install and durable.

These whip lights are well-made and work great. Mounting is easy and the spring is secure. Installation was also very straightforward. The light is bright and the colors are vast. The different lighting modes look great and are easily controlled via the included remote.

The lights are plenty bright, and feature quick disconnects for loading or transporting as well as nice mounts.Then comes the frustrating part:Two USA flags come with the lights, and seeing those USA flags, a guy thinks to himself, "Hey wouldn't it be fun to flash red, white, and blue for festive 4th of July themes?"So reading the instructions a guy downloads the Magic-Lantern app onto his iPhone and connects to the lights with Bluetooth. Fiddling around with the App, a guy would think there is a preprogrammed red, white, and blue color sequence, right?No, no there isn't.So then a guy thinks that maybe a guy can program or modify one of the many preprogrammed color sequences so we can get a red, white, and blue, color pattern, right?No, no you can't.So then a guy fruitlessly searches the internet eagerly looking for answers and finds out that there is basically nothing out there that is remotely helpful.So the takeaway is this: these are cool, bright LED whip lights with a well-designed mounting system with quick disconnects and yet have no way to program your own color sequence and of the piles of color sequences there are, not a one of them is red, white, and blue and for you Christmas fans, neither is there a red and green color scheme. Unbelievable!

I got these for our RZR as replacement whips, since our last ones got damaged because my hubby forgot to remove them while riding thru some narrow trails. These are just about identical to our last ones with the exception they're 1' shorter, which actually is a good thing. They have SO many different light choices you can choose from! And you can use either the little remote that comes with it or the app on your phone, which is how we prefer to operate them thru. We haven't tried the music sync mode, but if it's anything like our last set of whips, it only works to their music they have thru the app, which is really odd music (nothing like you'd listen to on the radio or anything like that). They were a fairly easy install & are super easy to remove.
