AirLatch - Wall/Ceiling Mount for Apple TV

As an AV-IT Integrator, I work with Apple TV on almost every project. Due to space limitations and the need to mount the product @ the TV source most of the time, I have found the product of choice for my applications. I have used numerous products and whereas those served me well, the Giros Design AirLatch takes security and mounting options to another level. I love the flat bottom which offers a larger mounting surface when using velcro for instance; but the most valuable upgrade is the locking feature which secures the unit to the mount. This not only serves to keep the unit in place when heat is a factor but also the security of knowing it will stay in place. Much like other Giros Design Apple target products, this is now my go to mount for Apple TV & Airport Express!

Hmm ceiling mount? Is that for people who walk around on their hands all day?Comes with security screw and little wrench for screw, I like that. Still it's plastic, if someone wants your Apple TV, they just take bracket and all.I stuck it to back of TV with included double sided sticky tape.Actually double sided sticky tape by itself would have worked as well, I just removed a star, wasteful.Looks nice, you will never look at it. Actually now I'm kind of bummed about what a waste of earths resources this item is I just pulled another star.

Does exactly what it says for a good price. Very easy installation. The only thing I didn't expect - and this has nothing to do with the product itself - is that the Apple TV was unable to "receive" the signal from the controller once mounted on the back of the TV. One would need an IR extender unless you have an iOS device, download the Remote app, and match it to your Apple TV. It's very easy to control via my iPhone.

Great device! I needed a mount so I could attach my Apple TV to the ceiling in my classroom. The AirLatch did the trick! It has been mounted to the drop down ceiling for two years now, and it is safe and secure. Great product!

Very well thought out design. Ships with all the necessary hardware. Gives me the ability to install the Apple TV anywhere. Creates a solid, fixed installation. No longer fighting the HDMI cable or power cable from twisting the Apple TV. Absolutely love it.

Great design, secure fit. I needed to mount on ceiling, so I was skeptical about push in designs. This locks the AppleTV in and is solid even when connecting and disconnecting wires. Instillation was easy.

I was excited to try this product, as my wife constantly complains about wires showing. The item arrived promptly.The package was crushed, as if someone had stepped on it. This TORX system must have been designed by a sadist, as they conveniently didn't include the wrench. I wish I would have known this, as I went through all 6 of my tools to try and tighten this bastard. There were these sticky mounts, which worked great...for 30 minutes. Nothing ruins movie night, like your Apple TV crashing to the ground, suspended by (you guessed it) a bunch of wires. My wife was quite angry.I called the customer service line, and they promised to send a wrench. Yeah, no dice. I must have missed some promotion, as it appears some people got free items.

Fits perfectly in the back of my LG LED TV. It needs to be on the side of the TV though so that the Apple TV would be in the line of sight with the remote.
