Silvan Sirus Smart IR Blaster for AC

At the outset, I have 4 Amazon Echo devices and 6 wireless bulbs at, both Philips and Syska installed at home, working quite well.I bought this device in Feb 2018. Delivery was prompt. I package included everything it said was in it. I tried to configure the device, both on an Andriod Phone and an iphone. I was able to connect it to my wifi network, however, the device did not maintain a stable connection. I have 3 routers at home, 2 asus (rt66u, rt87u) and a Dlink 814, The device did not work with any of these routers.I contacted their customer support. The customer support was prompt at answering my call and scheduling an Level-2 engineer call back. Spent time troubleshooting. What I was told is that the device needs a stronger signal that -70dbm for a good connection. We tried keeping the device in line of sight of the routers and that did not work either. Therefore, I set-up a return and was sent a replacement unit.The replacement unit was sent quite promptly. This time the unit was able to indicate the signal strength was stronger than before, however, it would still not maintain a stable connection with the router. I spent a couple of hours in a saturday troubleshooting with their support. I respect that their support tried to solve this for me over the weekend. However, due to the device not maintaining a stable connection, we were absolutely not able to configure the device.I was being told that the device needs to be closer to the wifi router and therefore it is not able to configure or emit the IR signal. I have a difference of opinion there. This device is required to broadcast it's own SSID in order for configuration and even that would vanish all the time. Besides, The IR emitting and WIFI are 2 different things and are not connected to one another in this problem. I think they work some more on the device circuitry and improve the device quality. Air conditioners are usually installed high up on walls and in different rooms, so it needs to be able to work in those conditions.Overall, I have tried this with 2 devices and it did not work as advertised. I hope this device gets better in quality and performance, because I would really like to be able to use a solution like this for my AC's.I also want to thank the SIlvan tema for their support.

1.Extremely complicated installation process2.even after following all instructions to the t it took 7vattempts to get it working then stopped working the next day and couldn't connect after that.3.alexa was never able to discover the device.4. Product quality was very pathetic and cheap plastic used like a road side charger .5.You have to stick the IR blaster on the ac IR receiver but keeps falling off due to bad adhesive and looks really ugly.Ease of use 0/5Setup 0/5Quality 0/5Alexa setup 0/5Android app 2/5Overall a cheap Chinese product which may or may not work .

Honestly I think I have been misold this device. On Amazon this looks like a simple device but when it comes to installation of the device it is super complicated. The pictures on Amazon are incomplete. When I emailed Silvan they got back to me with complicated instructions not making my life easier.Its been 10 days now and I haven't been able install this.I'd like my money back please.

Been using Silvan products for quite some time and now bought thisone as well. The products have made my life much easier. Totally worthe money spent. My home has become pretty cool with these techinnovations and I love to show them off to my friends. Product Support is excellent,just call then and they will solve immediately!

I have used several kinds of IR Blasters but have never ever come across one that is as good as this is. It is sleek, installation is a song and interfaces wonderfully with ALEXA. I plan to equip all ACs in my house with this Blaster - only I do not have ALEXA in all rooms.

Works exactly as I expected it to. Easy to install and configure with Silvan's app. Overall, very happy with the product. It supports most of the brands like LG, Voltas, Samsung, Bluestar, Daikin, Godrej etc. Follow the steps as per the online manual or chat with their support staff to get it working in no time.

Sirus is working well with my AC, without Alexa it doesn't work.

Little bit of technical support was needed for configuring this product. After configuration it supports well with my voice commands.
