As i already have dewalt batteries this was ideal. No problems fitting battery as someone else reported. Flow adjustment wheel 0-5 is not very accurate, i had to set on max5 to get winter lawn food to spray out nicely. Needed to shake once or twice to keep it flowing. Overall very happy with it, alot cheaper and identical looking to the Ryobi one.

I finally got round to testing this as I prepare the grass for winter with some late overseeing on some patches.It works well with grass seed, I did have to shake it to get it out a few times to get seed into the spreader mechanism, but I have found that with most grass seed spreaders like this. You likely wouldn't need to do this with pellet food.I did find it pretty tough to get the battery in and out - but hopefully this will loosen up over time.Otherwise, good build quality and hopefully this lasts for a good few years given the price, which for me puts it in the mid to higher tier on Amazon - but the design is similar to similarly priced items.

Love having garden tools that all incorporate the same battery, so really wanted to add this to the collection for my dewalt battery set.Works really well and spread everything consistently and evenly.Isnt silent in operation, but can be used without ear protection.
