Sorry for giving it 3 stars. The lock as supplied is fine. No problem with it whatsoever. But I bought it to replace a similar shed lock that was rusty and worn. But why oh why do manufacturers insist on redesigning fundamentally basic products such as in this case, despite having the same functionality and dimensions, everything else was different. The screw holes, the key position, all different. So I am going to have to perform some serious surgery on the door itself, or take my old lock to B&Q or Screwfix to buy a like for like lock. Pity. But as previously, Caveat Emptor.

The joy this rim lock has given us has been beautiful. The keys are long, which is great if you have deep pockets, or a thick door. The lock itself is well made, it works. The action is smooth. The colour is pleasing. A rim lock that is hard to part with when the time comes to leave.

Needed for bedroom cottage doors. Does the job. Did have a bit of a problem with the door not being very thick but overcame this by putting on a block. Works fine. Bent metal areas looked a bit poorly bent but once fitted this isn’t a problem. Ordered two and was pleased that they were different keys so not interchangeable.

These are cheap & easy to fit & are suitable for sheds, etc. I use them as secondary closers at the bottom of a door with the main lock above. They are only 2 lever locks so wouldn't be considered secure by your insurance company so just keep this in mind before using. They are worth the low price & do the job I needed them for.

This is a basic lock not a high security item at all, but for the price its astounding value for money. Ideally suited to a shed with no high value items stored it is fit for purpose and delivered swiftly. Very easy lock to fit and looks nice fitted

Bought to put on outside side gate and recent burglaries around the area. Easy to fit and gives piece of mind

Bit flimsy but does the job. Think I'd go for a more robust option next time.

I will be buying another two one for the mother in law and another for my shed
