This aloe vera gel smells unappealing, but that is how natural aloe vera gel actually smells. This has natural ingredients and also the preservative is natural. It is very gentle on the skin and works very well as an astringent. Good purchase!

My experience with it:Skin: I have been using it as moisturiser mixed with two drops of Argan oil AM & PM and considering my skin condition (I think it's mild acne), it did not break out my skin. I have always enjoyed using Aloe Vera Gel for skin because it's light and refreshing and makes skin shiny. I used Patanjali Aloe Vera Gel for a long time on my face but then I stopped it completely when I got to know what all they put in it (fragrance, colour etc)HAIR: I used Aloe Vera Gel for refreshing for refreshing my natural curls and boy I am so surprised with the shine. It gave very light crunch that I removed by crunching then in my fist and then shiny defined curls I got.Though this is my first impression on hair, but this stuff looks promising considering it's plant based ingridients. It has 99% Aloe Vera Gel and plant based thickner (Xanthum Gum) and preservative (Malic Acid) and water.Also it will last me next 4-6 monthsTexture is quite thick and mixes easily with oils/water.Thankfully it has no colour.Something off putting is it's odour. It is supposed to be odourless but has mild fevicol like odour BUT thankfully goes away ones applied.Also, it is a plastic tub. It would have been better if it was a tube. That way hygiene is maintained as we don't have to touch the whole product in order to get some evertime.

One Star less because of the smell of the product. The smell seems to be of the Xanthan thickner, but if there is a way to avoid it without compromising the quality of the gel then it will be better.

I bought this gel second time. It was good without any fragrance but now it has fragrance. I didn't like the fragrance. Keep it original
