Really good shampoo bar!
This is a brilliant shampoo bar. I have been scouting for good herbal shampoo bars as an alternative to chemical-laden shampoos for quite some time and Earthy Sapo's Shikakai bar and Reetha bar come out tops for me. This review is for the Shikakai bar, though. It has a rich lather which takes a little while to work up, but once done, it is quite lush. And the best part about this shampoo bar is that it washes away oil quite well, unlike most shampoo bars I have used before. That's probably cos of the multani mitti. I haven't needed to use conditioner after washing my hair with this.As someone who saw her mother making homemade shampoos with herbal ingredients during childhood, I am super happy to see all those ingredients present in here. The goodness of all those herbs and roots has worked wonders for my hair. The rough, brittle and stringy texture that comes with regular exposure to harsh chemicals has slowly gone (over 4-6 washes almost and regular oiling) and I have come to feel the natural, soft and springy texture of my hair. The only downer for me is the delivery charge, which seems a bit steep. Everything else about this shampoo bar is a big thumbs up. A big thanks to the people who've come up with this. You've won yourself a loyal customer for good!

No lather but nice product
This is something like Rita Powder and we are considering it in a solid form and if you are using a daily shampoo which contains lather then don't consider this product I would say

Leaves Hair Feeling Stiff and Dry
I was excited to try the Earthy Sapo Handmade Ayurvedic Shikakai & Multani Shampoo Bar, especially because of its natural ingredients and promise to work well for oily hair. Unfortunately, I found that it made my hair feel quite hard and difficult to manage. While it does cleanse effectively, it seems to strip too much natural oil, leaving my hair dry and a bit stiff after each wash. I’ve tried adjusting the water temperature and conditioning, but it hasn’t helped much with the texture.

Makes hair brittle and broken.
Okay, So I really wanted to like this soap. It looked promising and with all the glowing reviews. Before I go ahead with my review, I must say everyone's hair is different. And reacts to soaps differently. However, I HAVE REALLY HEALTHY SILKY JET BLACK SHOULDER LENGTH HAIR. My hair is not oily, but I oil my hair every time before I shampoo. So given that condition, I imagined, I fall in the category of oily hair.Review:1. Doesn't remove oil. It suggested I should use little oil before washing my hair. However, I use a lot of oil. And it keeps them oily. Even after three washes, it leaves the hair oily, dry and brittle. I know Shikakai is drying, but this is too much to handle.2. First day, hair looks manageable, even with oil still left on it. I assume my hair won't look as good as what a shampoo gives, but the next day it just felt horrible even on my head.3. I couldn't stop noticing how much hair fall it causes. My 'healthy' hair became extremely brittle and broken. I understand this may not condition the hair as shampoo does, but I value my hair on my head. Never before have I experienced so much hair fall. All in all, it increased my hair wash time from 20 minutes to 1 hour and that wastes so much water trying to get the oil off, which even then doesn't. I used this soap for 3 times a week for a period of 1.5 months. I used it alone, with a homemade conditioner, with commercial conditioner, etc. After a while, I just gave up. This isn't for me.

Overpriced for a soap!
Unreasonably high price. Yet to use it and will edit review after. But when I got it, I expected a soap that justified the size of the packaging. It does not. You check the pics. Hate the marketing gimmicks at work here. Basic health and hygiene should be made more affordable. 🙏🏼 first and last time I'm buying this soap - unless this one lasts me 6 months or so.
