Great sci-fi mystery
Hard to believe this is the first book written and published by this writer. Great imagination by writer. I found it to be fast moving and it kept my attention so that I didn't want to put it down. Would definitely purchase another book written by L. Danvers!

Mystery/Intrigue/Aliens - This Book Has It All !!
This book is perfect for the fantasy/sci-fi fan and is suitable for teens and adults. The detailed descriptions really make you feel like you are living the story right along with the main character. Honestly, it kept me so interested that I really couldn't put it down. Looking forward to more books from this fresh new author.

Contrite and Juvenile
While I rarely write a review, I felt the need to warn readers who enjoy space science fiction with a touch of romance about this book. I was initially intrigued by the lead character, a reporter/press corp representative at a news station who was investigating missing persons. There was a lot of scenarios in this book, including political corruption, a potential world war, and AI and technology abuse, etc. None of these scenarios were flushed out fully and were as if just a second thought by the author and thrown in to thinly support the story as futuristic. Also, and unfortunately, once the mystery of the missing persons was revealed, the story (including the romance portion) became contrite, juvenile and stretched the bounds of any possibility of belief. The last straw for me was when the main character, who had separate quarters with a personal bathroom, not only took a long, hot shower while traveling in space, but also took the time to shave her legs! I couldn't in good conscience finish the book.

It was okay
This was an average read from a first-time author. The pace of the story was slow for the first half of the book, then picked up. There were some glaringly obvious questions I would have asked as a character at several points throughout the story. The author did spend some time fleshing out her characters, which I liked and always appreciate as a reader. The science and mechanics were below par. For example, INSTANT communications, teleportations and spaceship travel between galaxies (not between solar systems within a single galaxy, but between actual whole galaxies), lack of an airlock on the spacecraft (it just opened up the entire ship to whatever atmosphere was on the other side of the hull), their specialized suits (atmosphere, space?) didn’t have gloves (their hands were exposed), etc. That said, I’ve never been a hardcore proponent of absolutes regarding the science in space operas; that’s why it’s called science FICTION and lumped in with Fantasy as a genre.I wish I could give every author a glowing review, especially since they all do a better job than I could do and they’ve obviously put a serious effort into writing a book. But I hate to be less than honest and I see way too many five star reviews on books I feel didn’t earn them. But then again, reviews are subjective so all them should be read with an open mind. Sorry for the preachy vibe; I just hate undermining a writers enthusiasm.

If you are looking for a storyline that has plenty of twists, while keeping you turning the next page.....then thus your book
I have to to say, I was riveted by about the 3rd chapter of this book. I normally pick up a book, and read a few chapters at night to help me clear my mind for sleep. This is the wrong book for that. I found myself a staying up all night and finishing it in one sitting

Good Book. Read it.
I don't usually like space stories but I love to watch then on tv. This was an exception to that rule. Great storyline and characters. Good job. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review. This is my honest opinion.
