Great....as long as your WiFi is great
The camera is exactly what you would expect from a Samsung camera. Just keep in mind that the image quality is only as good as your WiFi signal to the camera AS WELL AS to your phone. You have to have good signal at both to get smooth HQ video. Otherwise, it's choppy when viewing the live feed on your phone or tablet. The good part is, the camera has options to choose HQ, MQ or LQ (High, Medium or Low Quality). And the LQ is still decent enough to see exactly what is going on and be able to see facial features. The only thing I would like more is if it had an actual Ethernet port so you didn't have to rely on your WiFi. Lastly, setup was a piece of cake.

Great Security Camera
Great cameras. I now have 4 for indoor and outdoor security. The camera and image quality is great. Installation was easy using the app on Android or iOS, I tried both as I was doing the install. These cameras have the ability to monitor for activity within a programmable field. If the camera detects motion, it will send a push notification to your phone alerting you of activity and kick off a video recording that can be reviewed and saved for later use. Once setup and installed, the phone apps give great access to all cameras and the configuration for them. Connection is snappy and the quality of the video is good as long as your wireless connection is good. There is similar functionality using a web browser on a laptop/desktop. I did notice that the laptop/desktop web interface is a little slow to connect to the cameras, but once connected, the video is fine. Only concern is that it seems that Samsung uses a 3rd party to host the service --- but otherwise no issues. I am considering adding a few more cameras to complete security.Update: I had trouble with one of these cameras. After a while, it quit detecting motion and saving it to the SD card. I thought the card may be full so I formatted it but it didn't fix the problem. I finally decided to reset the camera. It was in a very high location that was not easy to reach so before I hit the physical reset button I decided to try a SW reset. The QUI includes a SW reset which clears everything but the WiFi settings. This solved the problem and it now works fine. One note, before you do the reset, make sure you verify the camera name and password used because the reset clears that. Of course you can re enter them, but if you have multiple users, if you change the camera name or password, it has to be updated on each of those devices. If you simply use the same name and password, then the devices don't even know the camera was reset. Hope this is useful info.

GREAT PRODUCT!
After reading many reviews and comments from friends we decided to go with Samsung SNH-C6417BNB SmartCam HD Plus 1080p Full HD Wi-Fi Camera Black. This was purchased to keep an eye on our dogs while we are away and the picture quality and easy of connecting is excellent. We had another brand previous to this one and that one stopped working within the month. We're very satisfied with our purchase and will be looking into purchasing additional cameras for other areas of the house. We would definitely recommend this product.thank you,

It works great and I can check in on her through out ...
I purchased this camera to keep an eye on my aging mother since we were having issues. It works great and I can check in on her through out the day. I give her privacy when needed but now I have better piece of mind checking in on her before I travel to her house. I would recommend this to anyone.

Peace of mind while away
This is the third of these cameras that we've installed. They work very well and allow you to zoom to a point, record motion, hear what's going on, speak through the camera from anywhere and use it day or night with infrared capability. We've been able to monitor our home while we were traveling. It's an easy and effective way to see what's happening when you're not there.

Do NOT buy this camera.
Samsung does not support this camera anymore. I cannot even get it to connect to SmartCam app now. I have tried removing SD card and factory resetting. All I get is blinking red light. It worked for maybe 6 months. When it worked it was great, but Samsung dropped support for their cameras.

Reliable and easy to use
This is the third Samsung Smart Camera I have bought. They are simple to use and very reliable. I use them for added security with my existing home security system since it doesn’t have cameras.

Very disapointing
Just receive a notification that the supplier is no longer providing Cloud Based storage of video. I purchase the product based the ability to keep security videos in the could.
