Would the rack hold our tiles?
Our tiles are quite large (26x18x15mm) and so I was concerned that they would fall off the rack. But they're just fine. The rack is 12mm deep and 14mm high. It's surprising how many sellers omit these key dimensions.

Racks not really fit for Mah-jong letters even though they are of ample width
The letters on these racks lie far too flat (the back should be higher) and were clearly designed/specified by non Mah-jong players who probably saw this as a way to get a large return on surplus timber offcuts. As the tiles lay so flat those sitting east/west on a 90cm square "card table" can see the north/south letters although it is with difficulty. As most players sort their letters by suit it is therefore easy to ascertain what suits are being collected by other players. Why can't racks be designed by Chinese manufacture's? They will understand what is needed and know what they would buy.
