Excellent Product. Will be buying again!
This is excellent, wished had found it years ago and saved a fortune compared to other leading brands. Is not quite as thick as premium brands but goes on easy (remember to stir frequently for an even colour) and gives good coverage.Having studies other feedback before buying and applying it, I concur the recommendations to use a wide soft bristle pasting brush and application by hand.Having jet washed the deck, i left it dry overnight, then (wearing kneeling pads!) I would work on roughly an arms-span width of deck at a time, and no more than 3 boards deep at a time so as to be able to brush back into the bit I'd just finished to blend the stain and to avoid creating 'dried lines'. I would use a dustpan brush to sweep away any dust and grit particles across the area I was about to stain and then get staining. The 20 litre tin is heavy so to move it around easily (no I didn't decant any) I stood it on a sturdy 4 wheeled plant pot trolley and it wheeled around like a dream. By using a pasting brush which has a little clip neat the base of the handle, this sits neatly and securely onto the side of the open tin when you want to roll the tin around. One coat is fine, dried quite quickly and 3 months on has been no peeling or flaking, but I will give it a second coat, just not got round to it yet.. I suggest don't put on in blazing sunlight or will probably dry too quickly. I am going to try this on some fences too... why not.... if it's designed for use on decking which can take a lot of use then I reckon will do well on fencing. This review is a bit detailed but I found others that were detailed really useful and helped me to decide on the purchase and of the best way of applying the stain, so am hoping my comments and tips may help others.

Second Post
In addition to my earlier post...The stain dries extremely quickly. I stopped for lunch (no more than half an hour) and when i returned to the job the stain had developed a thick skin on the top and the brush and roller had hardened to the point they were very nearly unusable. Finally, i have the standard 4" grooved decking boards so used a decking stain 4" in roller (it was like a mini mop head) and a fine bristled 4" brush. Rolling on to 3 boards at a time then running over them with the brush to smooth off the finish worked really well.

I was a bit concerned about this as it was priced so cheap. After reading previous reviews I decided to go for it and I'm really pleased. The stain goes on really easy with a great depth of colour. Due to the brilliant locking mechanism of the lid it can be easily stored for further use. This is a great product.

Why buy more expensive products?
As the advert for a much more expensive brand says......it does exactly what it says on the tin. Delivered promptly (albeit with a dent in the tin) but I have used the product which is easy to apply and covers really well. Dries quickly and whilst it has yet to rain and test the protective nature, I am so far extremely pleased with this and would recommend it above some much more expensive brands.

Coveres very well, looks great and waterproofs
Brilliant!! Looks great and waterproofs on first coat. Covered very well. If you use a sprayer you may well have to clean the gun out half way through as the liquid is so thick it blocked the fun after a while. Saying that it easily cleans in hot soapy water. Does what it says on the tub.

Brilliant for the price
The time of year for a fresh stain coverage on a large area of decking, could not believe they sold it in a 20L tin... Arrived within two days and laid it as soon as arrived, dried within three hours and stayed the dark color it came. excellent
