Good product, treated them with food-grade mineral oil when received and have been using them. They're a bit larger than the ones I've had for 20+ but that's just a matter of getting used to them.

The wood is authentic and the spoons are olive wood througout; They are beautifully carved and come in serviceable sizes! These make me feel that my food is safely prepared, no leaching of whatever. But of course they must be oiled and kept out of dishwasher which is a bit of a hassle in today's frantic world but I love them and do it!

These are nice spoons and I had high hopes for them but my first order either came cracked and I didn’t notice or cracked after the first use despite being hand washed immediately after use. In the replacement set, the ladle came cracked right out of the box. I can’t seem to get a good set, I guess. I wouldn’t recommend these due to how easily the ladle seems to develop cracks which is a potential bacteria growth zone.

Like the non-toxic natural finish - great for my new ceramic pans so they won’t scratch.

Wow, I'm totally blown away by the quality and thickness of these olive wood spoons. I'm Definitely going to purchase more from this brand, bloomhouse. I cook a lot and I'm just so impressed. Look at the perfect thickness of the handle and spoon. Amazing!!!

These are nice wooden spoons. The craftsmanship is very nice, and they feel very sturdy in my hand. These spoons will be great for my soups and sauces. The ladle spoon will work very well in a lot of different cases. It is not a traditional ladle, it more like a deep spoon, so it can be used for both, a spoon, and a ladle. The ladle is not a solid piece of wood, the bottom half of the spoon is carefully joined with the rim of the spoon. So it is good to remember to hand wash these spoons, because I am pretty sure that a dishwasher would ruin these spoons in no time. The only bad thing that I have to say about this spoon set is that the ladle arrived damaged. Something heavy must have landed on the box in shipping, and broke the ladle. There is no real padding in the box, the spoons just come in a cloth bag in a flimsy cardboard box, so there isn't a lot of protection there. I sent the broken spoons back right away (returns are so easy to do at Whole Foods), and I received spoons in tip top shape very shortly after that. They are all (hand) washed, and ready to go.
