Solid Tripod with Fantastic Quality and Features!!
I was looking to invest in a good tripod and did a lot of research on what I wanted to purchase. I was initially thinking about Dolica or Ravelli with a budget of around 10,000 INR. Both these brands had plenty of good options in that price range. But somehow I wasn't completely convinced that I wanted to invest in a medium level Tripod. So I finalized on the Manfrotto MT055XPRO3. I knew Manfrotto is known for quality in their tripods and I wasn't let down. Here are my thoughts and feedback. The sturdiness you can achieve while taking photos is insane!! It's rock solid even when you are taking night photography with the largest lens you could use. I used my Canon T3i with 75-250mm lens at shutter speeds of 30 secs and the picture was always flawless!!I initially thought this was a bit heavy especially when I was trekking some mountains that ranged 1200 m. But the number of amazing photos I got while using the tripod at the top and along the trek was worth the extra weight. It doesn't come with a carry bag so I ended up getting the MBAG80N which fit the tripod and the X-PRO 3-Way Head perfectly. I am a fitness crazy guy so I was able to carry this along the trek. For someone that doesn't workout much, carrying this tripod along long treks might be tedious. The tripod has tons of customization possible. It can extend to over 6 ft with the center column extended. I am 5'10 and I found the height options very useful for various angles. The three legs are super sturdy even when fully extended. The center column can also be setup horizontally for photos over fences, water bodies etc. Through the entire time, I didn't feel even once that the tripod was unstable. I guess the extra tripod weight helps :)The latches on the legs are very easy to use and very quick to open and close. The legs slide out without any friction when you open the latches and when you lock the latches in, they are super solid. You can lower the tripod all the way down to the ground if you want to take Macro photos. This can be done easily by adjusting the legs and bringing the center column into a horizontal position. The center column can easily be setup in the horizontal position. The small button at the bottom of the center column makes it easy for the user to push the column up and into the horizontal position. In all, I felt very comfortable with the tripod and was able to play around with the various angles achievable with this tripod. The X-PRO 3-Way Head which I got along with this tripod was a welcome addition giving me 3 ways of additional customization. It holds the camera with ease and I didn't experience any shake in any of my pictures in any angle. This is a solid tripod for a very good price(I got it for around 19,000 Rs on Amazon.In). I would definitely recommend it for medium to pro level photographers. It is worth the investment and the quality of your pictures will definitely make you realize that you made the right choice.

Solid robust feature rich tripod for multi angle photography
I own the heavy duty Canon 5D Mark 3 with a couple of heavy zoom lenses. This makes for a heavy load for any tripod. I've owned a cheap aluminium tripod and a mefoto carbon fiber road trip tripod for some time now. For rock solid long exposures both were not very adequate and I needed a rock solid primary tripod with a smooth and accurate head which would keep the camera vibration free, fluid to move in any direction fast and also help with macro photography.I analyze the MK 190 and the MK 055 very closely and decided for the later even if expensive as I found the additional features of this tripod worth the money. The three way xpro head is super smooth, and holds its position rock solid when its tight. There is very little vibration when you let go of the setup and zero chance of the tripod swaying in the wind or falling over due to strong wind.I prefer the aluminium version over carbon as I needed the extra weight for my primary tripod to be rock solid. The legs can extended and closed extremely quickly and literally in a snap and click motion without any play of the legs at the joints. Once snapped in, the entire length of each leg works as a single solid segment avoiding any vibration or jerks. The awesome central column which can take a 90 degree turn by just pushing a button makes a fantastic 360 degree movement possible with the three way head once the legs are in place. No need to swing the tripod around. The ability to expand the legs and the central column such makes it very good for macro photography where high zoom of the lens can spoil the image with even a gentle touch of fingers or a breeze. Not so with this tripod. If you are looking to capture those razor sharp images, skip the cheap shaky tripod and go for the very best. It will outlast you in this life!

My first Pro-grade tripod, and worth it
I am just a hobbyist photographer, but have strongly felt the need of a tripod in many situations. Some of the angles of photos/videos I wanted to take, were impossible with my cheap light tripods, so risked this purchase. Having used it just twice so far, I find it very very useful.Good stuff:1) Sturdy build, sturdier than any tripod I have used or tried before. Because this thing is heavy (which is also a bad thing).2) Rubber and plastic parts feel robust.3) The head is really nice and can take a good amount of weight at any angle.Bad stuff:1) Its heavy, really heavy (which is also a good thing).2) No tripod bag. Come on Manfrotto...3) There were a couple of places I could see white scratches on the black anodized surface of the structure. This was supposed to be brand new. Looked like a returned product to me. Since it did not affect its usability, I decided to keep it.There were exactly 2 much cheaper tripods of 2 different brands that had the horizontal arm which is of most important use to me. However, looking at their model numbers, photos and descriptions, they seemed to be exactly the same tripod, of some generic brand just rebranded and sold, so didn't even bother. The price is very steep for this tripod+head, and I have not experienced anything in the ₹ 10000/20000 range, so I am not aware of anything else that would have worked for me so well.Would I recommend it? Yes, if you have the cash or can save up for it, this thing should last you quite some number of years.

Life time investment
This is the best tripod i ever used.I am using it from 2017. And it hasn't been loose or tight. Still holding everything properly, sturdy and balance on another level.

Long awaited upgrade…
Just a few months ago my 20+ year old manfrotto flimsy tripod lost its life (rest in pieces Charles) , and was ready to spend on a new one to be the baby. I’m still learning the way of the head and such but it’s beautifully sturdy and a unit. I wish it had come with a strap possibly but either way , I will carry that around with me.

Excellent kit!
Now I'm a camera newbie-ish, so I've never had a proper tripod, but I am SO glad I picked this as my first one.Sturdiness: This thing will not budge in wind, I had it on the beach, and it was really windy, and even on sand, I was never afraid of my camera falling over or anything! Rock solid!Size: It is kinda heavy for lugging around, and it was too big for me to fit in a normal gym bag, but if you take the attached head off, it fits into a bag with a small extendable bit, and once you have a comfy bag it really won't be an issue! It has taken a couple of bangs and all, no damage, this is a proper piece of equipment. The attachment as well is super easy to use, very smooth for moving the camera, and once it's locked it's locked. Very happy with it! :)

Calidad sin igual
La solidez y estructura del tripié son perfectas para mi trabajo. A su vez, la altura a la que se puede extender ha sido de gran ayuda.El cabezal es único y de gran precisión.
