Very good kit for beginner! Items displayed on website are exactly as shown and described.The patterns ARE adhesive... the bag in which they are placed explains what to do if they are not sticking and explains how temperatures effect adhesiveness.The instructions are very clear and easy to understand, explain directions in which to sew the patterns, loading needle and more.THE THIMBLE IS ADJUSTABLE so it WILL FIT ALMOST ANY FINGER. One reviewer said the thimble did not fit... you have to pop it open... I used my kitchen shears to pop it and adjust the size. (placed tip scissors inside thimble, gently opened scissors to break the seal on the thimble ring... and then spread the thimble ring open to a width that fit my finger.The only thing I didn't like about the kit was that the thimble had some rough edges... which I smoothed with an emory board (the rough side)... they are machine pressed and have one or two sharp edges. Sandpaper or a sanding sponge would work too.I wish I could purchase more of the lighter blue denim fabric, it's an unusual and pretty color and I think I'll use the reverse side when stitching the design.I will definitely look for more kits or products by this vendor.

Thimble incudes with the set was way too small for my fingers. Everything else in the kit worked great. Even with the design sheets I managed to make little mistakes. I’m sure I’ll get better with time. This is a nice way to learn the basics.

This kit comes with everything you need except the iron on pattern! Included are a few sheets of blank transfer paper and some illustrations of possible sashiko motifs. I’m not sure what the seller intends for us to do. Go on line and search for printable patterns?
