Exactly what I was hoping for
I mounted these in 3/4” thick wood and they are stable and secure. The price is excellent, good looking and they came with wire terminals for MR16 bulbs as well as some other bulb that I’m not familiar with.

Our contractor let us know that our designer (who we like and who has great style) spec'd out very expensive recessed lighting fixtures that required a more involved installation, as those proposed units required drivers and a low voltage transformer to be installed.Furthermore, based on past experience, I am wary of sealed LED lighting units. While the lamp should last a long time, on occasion any LED bulb can fail, but there also can be problems with the driver or fixture that may require these expensive fixtures to be entirely replaced -- and then there is the risk that those fixtures are no longer in production.For other projects I fell in love with Philips GU-10 LED bulbs that become warmer as you dim them, so I ordered these holders. These GU-10 bulbs fit perfectly in this holder, and once installed they look as nice as the astronomically more expensive fixtures initially proposed. And if the bulbs would ever fail, they are easy to replace.My only caution: Amazon's ordering system reported that others had ordered the ceramic connectors which the GU-10 bulbs plug into, which in turn are connected to your home wiring, but I didn't need these as these trims have an assortment of GU-10 and MR-16 ceramic connectors already included in the box.

Super nice and very inexpensive! Put these throughout my house! Love em. Well made sturdy and easy to pop in a light!

Works fine but not for me
I ended up returning the light as it isn’t standard for normal bulbs. I realized I would have a hard time finding bulbs to fit so I returned it.
