SE Riffler File Set - Precision Hand Tools - Double Ended Metal Files - Set of 10 Pcs - 745RF

This is my first set of riffler files, so I can't really say that they are better than any other set of files. However, I will say that if you build scale models, get a set of riffler files. As soon as I got this set, I was able to use it to file areas of my current project, that would not have been possible with any of my "straight" files. I would rate the "cut" on these files as medium. It has enough bite to file plastic and resin easily, without leaving gouges in the material. I have not tried it on metal, yet. I may look for a set with a finer cut, but for now, I am very happy with these.

Mine arrived as expected. I knew before hand the inside curves of the flat ones are smooth (not file). Can only surmise this is a price cut thing as it would sure be handy to have files on ALL sides of EVERY one in the set. I use these to file the inside (from the outside) of gas cans that I've drilled out for new spouts etc. The drill leaves small curly things on inside edge of hole that are risky to leave as might get into gas later. These files usually can get at the PVC hanging debris pretty good. Not sure how durable they'd be on metal. They are pretty fine bladed. But they are files, not the abrasive grit that some come as.

I perform some very intricate carvings. I should have ordered the file set sooner!

Just not a very finished product with a Quality Control Group I find lacking. Don't go into this purchase with high expectation. Hope this helps

Nice assortment of different types of files. Good even cutting teeth. I bought this set to even out a scratch on my vehicle that has a slightly raised surface. I feel confident that with this fine file set, I can bring down the ridge surface to re-touch up.

This is an inexpensive set of files I use for detail woodwork. The container for the files is a little cheap but is handy and useful for storing the files in a common container

Expected to be a finer fike

As a machining student, I don't get the best surface finishes. I normally grain sand all my part. Keeping that in mind; I used the rifflers to blend interal feature and such. For the money you can't beat'em

Claims to be medium cut but is more extra fine.

All the pieces are exactly what I expected after a reference from another user.

Description didn’t appear to mention anything about the product containing lead. Nice little riffler set but the whole cancer causing thing means this will be used very little if at all. Going to order a pricier set from a different retailer as well because these guys were a little too combative for my liking when I had shipping issues.

Semi good for wood or plastic but the teeth break on mild steel after 1-2 uses.
