Circa 1860, this large impressive Gothic settle finished in walnut has fine pierced carving on the cavetto moulded pediment and Gothic style carvings on the raised panels at the back of the seat. It has a lift up seat and 4 panels to the front of the bench each with similar Gothic style carvings. The splat arms are finger moulded. The original bench was most likely produced in France. Dimensions, inches: 4 3/4 W x 5 1/2 H x 1 3/4 D. 1" to 1'. 1:12 Scale. This is sized for a dollhouse. Detailed scale model for adult collectors. Not intended for children under 14.
