Loose rope decorations
The rope decorations came loose easily and it doesn't look that good when there's loose ropes and the wood underneath doesn't match the rest of the bow, but on using, it shoots pretty far.

For the budding Artemis
This little bow and arrow set is a level above pure toy and below full on archery, allow me to elaborate. The bow is a very light pull, good for the pre-K crowd. It's probably less than five pounds. As it's a recurve the pull strength increases as you pull further. It's pretty easy to get to full extension. The bow style is very girly, which may not be completely obvious from the pictures. The wrap is like a mermaid scale in rainbow colors with shimmer. The arrows appear to be bamboo shoots with a knock cut with a straight saw blade. They're coarse and grab the bow with friction more than with squeezing pressure. The arrows all look straight but that's not the only factor. There are only two feathers per arrow that are in the same plane. This is not a stable design. It will allow the arrow to yaw in whatever axis the feathers are in when launched. The tips are a floppy rubber. This will also allow the arrows to wander. A wandering nose and wandering tail isn't a very accurate platform. All that techy stuff said above, it's still probably a perfectly adequate first attempt for any little archer. I think it's important to recognize that it's at least half toy. Once your little one learns to not shoot people and pets and to always shoot at the designated target you can graduate to a real arrow with three feathers, a tension based knock and a blunt metal tip.The quiver is a felt-like cloth that fits these arrows and probably ten more just fine.

Five stars for 10-year-old fun!
My 10-year-old daughter has had a riot with this bow and arrow. It has held up now for several weeks which is more than what I can say for most of the toys I get for the kids. The arrows are real wood and have rubber tips that are shaped like Indian stone Arrow points. They do provide a measure of safety but this is a bow and arrow so it is not a gift for a reckless child. My daughter was taught how to use the bow and arrow safely and she has had a lot of fun with it. The only thing I wish we could get was more arrows, many more arrows!

Used-to-be a Good bow. Arrows are questionable
EDIT:Well that hasn't taken long. It's about 3 months and 2 camping trips later, the string would around the handle all unwound and is falling off, revealing the screws and tape under it. It looks like it literally was just held in place by a piece of tape under it. Bow is still functional but the the aesthetics are ruined now.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I got this for my 9 year old. She has been exhibiting some interest in archery recently, so this is a great addition. Definitely a girl's bow as it has glitter with what looks like a mermaid tail's print. The bow itself is a real bow, meaning no predrilled arrow holes or elastic or anything like that. It's quite decent in terms of quality for a youth and generates a decent amount of power. She can shoot arrows about 40-50 feet with this thing.Speaking of arrows... they could be better. While it's neat that the manufacturer attempted to insert feathers for stabilization, the feathers themselves are of terrible and uneven quality. Some are half missing, some have holes and breaks and some have been squished in shipping. Honestly, these arrows are probably better without the feathers. Still not great, as knocks have some clearly unfinished woodworking, but good enough for a youth set.A carry bag for the whole thing (not just the quiver) would've been great also.

Terrible!
This is not well made. It’s Cheap and the arrows don’t even have full feathers. I threw mine in the garbage.

Bow is fun, but other issues.
The bow, itself, is a decent product. It has a solid look and feel to it. Even though it uses elastic instead of true tension, it still gives the right look to things. However, the quiver is meh. And the Arrows are absolute garbage. I'd actually give it a higher rating if those were excluded (and removed from the price point, of course).
