Murkami w/o all the bluff
Beautifully written essay - that's right, it's an essay, too short to be a novel. More like a pamphlet really. LOLHaving said that, I really enjoyed the story. It was definitely a pageturner. Although it was on the short side, it did a great job painting a detailed picture of the world and characters in the story. Amazing story flow. Looking forward to more writing from this young author.

Extraordinary
What seems like an ordinary family story is rendered extraordinary by the author. Like the two other books available, the pace and lustre of the stories bring light to the mundane but make it peculiar. Insects, birds, mysterious wildlife, and old age twinkle like the sun's reflection on water

Misterious little read
This book was a lovely surprise, a little summer read I came across by chance. There’s so much left unsaid, so many things up to the reader’s imagination... This work is as pervasive as the summer heat that surrounds the story itself. Couldn’t put it down until I finished it.

Compelling Story
The author did a great job of building tension in the story and leaving sufficient memory. There was a creepiness to characters that kept you wondering and wondering more at the end.

V strange
Was glad this book was a short one because I kept waiting for something to happen & nothing did. Guess that was meant to be the point!
