Great Mic at great price
This mic is great. Have not experienced any range problems. Tonal quality is great too. Much, much better than I expected from a wireless mic in this price range. Have three of these, band A, B and C. No interference. More than adequate output. Has TRS jack for output, and I use a TRS to XLR Cable for input to my mixer. Very Happy.

So far - so good
So far so good.... Bought this to use at events where I didn't want people abusing my more expesnive Shure system. Have to say that this worked remarkably well for the price. Not sure about longevity but it served the purpose of providing wireless mic service for a high-school graduation event. The mic was used for speaking- not singing- so I can't comment on the senstivity of the mic for reproducing dynamic range faithfullly. So, if you're looking for an affordable entry point into the wireless mic world this might work for you!

... paired with a balanced mic cable gives a very good sound for the amateur karaoke singer
This mic paired with a balanced mic cable gives a very good sound for the amateur karaoke singer! I purchased several different mics and this is the best for the price. AKG also makes a duo set...2 mics with one receiver (US45AC)- which can be used with the US45B with no interference (they are different frequencies). If you have 3 inputs in your device, I would buy them separately. I used the A/C with a Y- mic cord along with the B mic and the B mic's sound was much fuller. However, if you only have 2 mic inputs, then it will be just fine.

Great build & quality, poor signal performance & range.
The build & quality of this unit is solid. The sound quality of the microphone is solid. The biggest problem with this wireless system is when moving around with the microphone you get a very loud "swoosh" or static sound when it momentarily loses signal. Also, when you turn the transmitter off there is a very loud static coming from the receiver. So when someone using the mic then turns the switch off you have to turn the sound off at the mixing board. All this happened within 8 to 30 feet from the receiver with no obstructions. This is a serious design flaw.I purchased an Audio Technica ATW-802 VHF wireless system that works great and had great range. Surprisingly, I also purchased an Audio Technica UHF wireless system for much more money that had the same issues as the AKG WMS40. My cheaper VHF wireless systems seem to perform better...

Great wireless mic at a great price!
The AKG WMS 40 wireless mic works great for our purposes. We have used it in both indoor/outdoor applications and never had any interference or issues. The mic and receiver are compact and well built. We use this alongside several wireless lapel mics by Sure and they do not interfere. Will definitely look for these if we need to expand.

Insatisfecha
Los micrófonos son de buena calidad, los pedimos los coristas de una iglesia y los enviaron con la misma frecuencia osea similares lo que causa que hagan interferencias no nos sirvieron, ahora debemos venderlos.
