Noticed a difference right away
Fairly simple and straight forward to install! Especially with very basic plumbing experience. I installed an additional sediment filter since the water in my area is very full of minerals with all the water pipe work the city is doing. The strong chlorine smell was gone after an hour and water tastes so good now! Showering feels even better. The unit seems bigger than i had anticipated even though I knew the product dimensions. My water pressure with the filters installed didn’t drop at all! the gauges indicate a constant 62psi which is great! You don’t have to use all copper like I did but I had extra pipe so it just worked out to use all copper in my case. I also recommend configuring it with a bypass like the instructions say to do. BTW the instructions aren’t “step-by-step” but rather a guide of what you should do so you can install it with your preferred methods and materials. No leaks, and just worked immediately! Highly recommend!

Great Filtration System
I ordered the Express Water Heavy Metal Filtration System for the following reasons: 1. Very detailed and favorable reviews; 2. The sleek look of this system paired with the stainless steel; 3. Preinstalled pressure guages; and, 4. The availability of a variable range of replacement filters, all at an exceptional cost. The system was installed inside a barn that contains my water well and is attached to a line leading to my home. Water testing showed my primary concern to be water hardness and I contemplated getting the recently released Express Water Descaling system. (Note: I did purchase a set of Express Water Descaling Filters through Amazon). I opted for the Heavy Metal system because of the extensive filtering capability of its KDF filter. The system was installed by the contractor and team who constructed my country home. The system was installed on a piece of 3/4 inch ply board attached to the barn wall and elevated on the advice of the installer to simplify filter changes. In order to address descaling issues the system was paired following an ISpring spindown filter that contained pho, a compound that restricts bonding of calcium and magnesium that creates scaling. In addition, an ISpring electronic descaler was installed on the water line coming out of the Express Water system.I have attached a photo of the filtration system as completed. It operates through a bypass of the main line that can be closed to allow unfiltered water to flow from the well to the house bound line (I do have two outdoor faucets built from my house water system that are occasionally used for outside yard watering, and if excessive water usage becomes an issue, I will have the option of bypassing the system for that use). As shown, the filter system is constructed out of pvc piping. The system has been in operation for about one month.Following great advice provided in earlier reviews, installation was prompt and improvement to the clarity and purity of the water was almost instantaneous. This improvement has encouraged us to commence drinking the water, which now has a clean and pleasant taste. Recently my wife suggested we add an ice making machine to our refrigerator, to eliminate buying ice which we have been doing since building the home in late 2014. My contractor who installed the system and has installed many others in this rural area indicated it was the best designed system he has seen and indicated he is probably going to install an Express Water system at his new home. I am encouraged the company will live up to the fine reviews it has received. The cost of the system, including all components, with installation, was less than $1,000, which is about half the cost of many comparable systems being installed in the area.I will supplement this review if problems arise, but at the present time I rate it five stars and am glad to be free of the hassles of a salt based system, yet have good clean water on hand.

Great unit.
We live in Southern Mississippi on a well. The water smells of rotten eggs, and taste funny sometimes from the well. After the hardwater whole house filter system the water is clean and taste like nothing. We had the water tested before the filter and After the filter. I'm very happy with the results. We do not want to use a water softener so a like scale on stuff if ok with use. I'm very happy with the system. Just remember if you have garbage water coming in you need to change the filter more offen.

Impressive results in the first month!
Great value for the money, easy to install, and larger in person than it "looked" on Amazon. Filter size is 4" by 20". The first filter is clear plastic and had a snow white filter cartridge in. In 1 week it caught that much dirt in the 1st stage! Just amazing! The water then has to pass through 2 more charcoal filters! Very happy we have this now protecting our whole house!

Canister Sprung a Leak After 3 Years and Flooded the Garage
We have the Heavy Metals system and it has removed undesirable taste from the city water, although we haven't sent any water in for a scientific analysis. The overall system is very well designed, except for one issue that can lead to serious property damage. Every time I read the pressure gauges they indicate 60 psi - I've never seen an exception. The other night (of course), the middle canister sprung a leak at the bottom, resulting in a flooded garage.Express Water claims that there must be spikes in our water supply pressure at off hours, like Midnight, and that caused the issue and they recommend having a plumber install a pressure regulator on the home water supply (no cheap project). They also invited me to purchase replacement canisters for $80 each. So to get this system up and running with any sense of confidence that there won't be another leak in a few years it will cost $750 - $1000.If you have one of these systems installed at your home and you don't have a regulator on the city water supply, you may be at risk of water damage down the road. Express Water recommends checking your water pressure at various times of the day and night to see if you can notice any pressure spikes. Or have a plumber install a regulator.Update 9/2/23 I have purchased new canisters through Customer Service. I had purchased new filters a couple weeks before this failure, and I want to give Express Water kudos for replacing the filters and providing free and quick shipping on the replacement canisters. I still recommend that if you are on a city water system, have a plumber install a pressure regulator at the water line entering your home.

Impressed the plumber!
I live in an area where we get lake water, it's nasty, it stinks, it's yellow.Ordered this for the whole house and hired a professional plumber to install it for me. He was so impressed by this system he bought one for his own house.Water pressure is solid. Water is clear. I'm happy with it! Seems to work well. Definitely will satisfy an entire house. I have a 3 and 2.

Make municipal water great again..
I bought the whole home heavy metals filter because my wife and I returned from our Caribbean sanctuary and could not believe the taste and smell of our drinking water in Oshawa, Canada. Rather than risk poisoning we installed the whole home filter and immediately noticed a complete difference in the smell and taste of our water. I recommend this product to anyone who wants to take the risk out of drinking municipal water. Fluoride is an industrial byproduct (toxin) and should not be in our drinking water. This system deals with it too, so when your municipality fails you and adds it, you can eliminate it too.
