The media could not be loaded. This Foxpark backup camera was incredibly easy to install, it took just a few minutes. I simply charged the camera first time, mounted it onto the license plate with securing solar panel and its cable to charging port, Secured the 5" display monitor with suction cup onto windshield and plugged its charging cable to the monitor and charger to cigarette lighter. Once it turned on, it showed very clear and stable HD images, even at night. This 5" screen could be adjusted to minimize the glare in the sun which is not possible with in-built lcd screen. The solar-powered feature really keeps the camera charged without needing manual recharges. As per my experience with solar security system camera, sometimes manual charging and manual restart might require under severe weather condition. I have done this manual charging using power bank and I didn't have to remove the camera. Its display monitor connects wirelessly as soon as I start the car and its connection time can be adjusted using the setting on the display. Further, I learned that I could check rear view anytime by just pressing the button on the cigarette lighter charger. The only issue I noticed was that the camera is still using micro-USB connection port. and nowadays most new gadgets are coming with USB-C. Overall, it’s a highly recommended, affordable, and efficient backup camera system.

I’ve tried this backup camera from Foxpark for a couple weeks and have been happy with it overall and would recommend it to those who need an affordable solar powered and quite easy to install wireless backup. It has larger solar charger that other similar models I’ve tried that should extend the time before additional charge has to be added. It has a waterproof rating (IP69K) and has decent night vision using the cars back lights.The super easy installation of this is the big advantage this has over other wired backup models that require more car expertise to install. This one is simple that most average car owners can install. You just need to unscrew the license plate (or can use the provided tape mechanism onto the license plate), attach the camera module and screw back on. Then you plug the monitor component into your car’s cigarette lighter front input. The monitor display is HD quality and then connects to the camera easily through wireless connection. Camera quality is good and more than sufficient.

The solar power power feature is the other biggest draw of this model’s features. This is because it’ll just charge by itself and won’t require having to remove the camera battery component and charge, like with other similar backup cameras that aren’t solo powered.
The monitor’s mount is the only thing I’d say could use a more firmer and stronger fit onto the dashboard or window. Under the sun and a loose fit, it can come off but you can just stick on easily so it’s not a big deal. Overall, highly recommended, especially if you can get for around $175 when it’s on sale or comes with a coupon.

The media could not be loaded. I was really impressed with the packaging; it felt like I was unboxing a new MacBook. Everything was neatly placed inside. The purchase price was very reasonable with the available discount, making it worth it for my DIY installation. The detachable solar panel fits and clamps perfectly on the camera. I replaced the power connection port cap on the camera with the solar panel’s micro-USB connection cap and secured it tightly to prevent any water entrapment. This cap design is excellent, providing a good seal compared to a loose, small rubber piece. The camera angle can be easily swiveled to adjust for the correct angle, which is a plus compared to my existing car camera that cannot be adjusted to minimize light glare on sunny days. Installing the 5-inch screen was as easy as mounting an old GPS on the windshield and connecting it to the cigarette lighter port. When I started the car, the rear-view video was live and clear on the screen. I adjusted the run time to the maximum to allow for longer durations for proper backup and reverse parking. It can be turned on anytime by pressing the switch on the charger. The charger also has a USB port, which is really helpful for keeping my phone charged while driving. I hope the solar energy will charge the camera on the go, so I don’t have to recharge it manually often. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. I highly recommend this to anyone still using an old car without a rear camera or wanting to add an extra rear or front view for driving safety.

Setting up this wireless backup camera was simple. I did not encounter any issue and like the quality of the product. I did fully charge the unit prior to my install. Connection to the camera was great and clarity was clear. This works well especially for my older car that does not have a back up camera. It helps me with parking, backing out of parking space and especially if anyone is behind my vehicle.

This worked great from the initial charge from being plugged in.The inital charge lasted several weeks.Unfortunately, since the inital charge has been depleted, the solar panel does a poor job of keeping it charged. I park in an area that gets a lot of sun at work and the solar charging does not provide an adequate charge to turn the camera on more than once. At this point, it is useless.I have another brand on my wife's van and it has worked faithfully for the last 2 years. I will be replacing this with the same one as on her van.

everything is good with this camera, except for the fact that the cord is a bit too long. It's sticking out after installation. Minus 1 star for this.
