Don’t let the reasonable price fool you
I installed a patch over a 3” year on our inground pool that had formed over the winter months. I followed the instructions to the letter and installation went well. It lasted all summer and still appeared to be holding well at the end of swimming season. I’m hopeful it holds up through the winter. More to come next spring.

The best pool patches
These are the best patches for above ground pools. Easy to use and you can use them under water. From my experience, these are the best patches I’ve found that work under water. They are the only ones I will buy.

Worked well
Had a tear in the corner above my liner above the water line. Has been in place for three months still holding strong .

Vinyl adhesive ok but perhaps unfair trial
The Boxer vinyl adhesive comes well packaged with excellent instructions. I may have asked it to do too much, however. I was trying to seal the lower edge of a child's pool that had fairly rigid walls to resist dog-induced punctures. The two leaks were each about 1/2 inch, but I couldn't get the patch to adhere. So far, I was able to get a seal just by trickling the glue over the crevices in several applications. I have not yet put it to the test of children and canines and a load of water.

Every vinyl liner pool owner should have this on hand
If you own a pool with a vinyl liner, do yourself a favor and buy this now because you will need it at some point. Our in-ground pool started leaking, and I ended up finding two holes in the liner. One was where the bottom of the pool and the wall meet, and this hole was the bigger of the two and was about the size of a toe nail puncture. I tried using 'waterproof' flex tape as temporary fix while waiting for this kit, but it didn't hold up at all - don't even waste your time. After receiving this repair kit I got to work right away. Cut a piece of vinyl that is quite a bit larger than the hole you are patching, apply the epoxy to the vinyl patch (wear rubber gloves, this stuff is not fun to get on your skin), fold the patch in half and dive in. Once you're under water, open the patch back up and press it firmly over the hole. It will slide around at first, be patient and keep it lined up. Hold pressure on it for a while and it will seat. After 24 hours the patch will be locked in solid. It will stop the leak immediately however. The patch is clear, you can not see it from the surface of the pool - but you can still see the gash in the liner through it.We are on a well and lost a lot of water due to these holes - again, if we had the patch kit on hand already it would have saved us a lot of time. Spent the money and buy it now!!!

Great for above pool repair while filled with water
I tired the waterproof tape method and it was a total disaster. The tape would lift up and the leak would continue. I decided to get a vinyl cement repair kit. It seems to have better adhesion while applying under water. I noticed the vinyl cement sheet was thinner and was able to spread the cement evenly and it was much easier to apply in water than the tape. I guess any repairs would be best when dry.

Works for under water patches.
Product works well, holds up really nice. Clear and hardly detectable.
