So Far So Great!
I received this item on 6/12/2018. I ordered the dash cam with the GPS module, the anti-glare lens cover, and the hard-wiring kit. The package arrived as expected in pristine condition. The items were exactly as pictured and described. I tested out the unit with the 12V plug-in cable first, just in case the item was crappy, so that I would not have to undo any hard-wiring. I had a previous dashcam from a different brand that sucked and had to return it to Amazon. This unit has no issues so far. All is as described and the buttons work as they should. The menu system is fairly simple and straight-forward. I've used different settings including parking mode and they all work fine. I can review videos directly on the unit. I like the size as it is inconspicuous. I hard-wired it the next day. Now, I take it out of the GPS mount during the day and take it into work with me so that the unit is not baking in the South Carolina sun so as to preserve the internal circuit components for longevity. Easy to do - just slip out of the mount when not using and slip it back in when I get back in my car. I have not given it the full five stars yet, since I have no data on how well it holds up over time. I plan to revisit this post in 6 months for an update. If all is well at that time, then I will give it the last star.

Couple minor improvements could be made, but really a fantastic product with the potential for many applications.
Fantastic camera. Only complaint is that the lens cannot be adjusted from side to side when using the polarizing filter. It has to be facing straight for the filter to be on properly. It has a really nice wide angle, so this wasn't a huge problem for me, but it's a potential inconvenience that I think could be easily fixed in future models. Also, just a couple more cable clips would have been nice for my application, but it came with enough that I could make it work. Other than that, the install was very easy. There are plenty of settings to fit your needs without being over complicated. The picture quality is excellent. Both video and still images come out very crisp. Great for capturing trips and vacations as well as incidents. The mic is very sensitive and pretty decent, so it should be able to pick up an argument happening outside the vehicle if a door or window is open. Being that this model does not have an internal battery, it does need to have continuous power even when the vehicle is off to keep the date and time in sync. Just something to be aware of. If you do not have an outlet with constant power, it will lose date and time memory, but it will still turn on and begin recording within a minute of starting your vehicle, and continue to function as a dvr camera. Since it just needs a power source to function, it can also be used as an affordable high quality security camera anywhere you want by simply plugging it into a power bank or even a wall socket with a USB adapter. It can record continuously or you can enable the motion sensor function. It's small size makes it very portable, so this could even be useful on a trip if leaving a laptop or something of value in a hotel room or an air bnb.

Great Dash Camera
I just completed installing the Viofo A119 V2 into my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. I accessed the power for the auto-dimming mirror in the overhead console by splicing into the mirror's pigtail. So far so good! Formatting the 64 gb SD card was simple and straight forward. Setup using the menu keys is fairly simple but takes a little intuition. If I have any problems that I cannot resolve by myself or through OCDtronics I will update my review. Great dash camera so far!!!1-Year Update: This camera is still working great! In fact, I was able to capture a road-rage incident on the camera and provided the video recording to the state police. They were amazed at the video clarity and were easily able to read the license plate and make/model of the vehicles involved as well as identify both driver and passenger in the vehicles! They actually requested my video be presented to the district attorney and ended up charging the offending driver! You can't go wrong with this dash camera!

Great dashcam with parking mode
I used to have a A118C but recently got a new car so I decided to upgrade to the A119. Basically same form factor as the old A118C but it seems to be better quality. Luckily, these ones come with the foam which will decrease the vibration immensely. The quality on the A119 is pretty good and probably best bang for your buck dashcam right now. I've paired it up with an Anker 20,000 mAh to use for parking mode and have had no issues at all. However, one downside is that the parking mode is not up to par with others, as there is no pre-buffer. If it senses movement, then it will begin recording in a timelapse. But for me, I don't necessarily need any prebuffer, just for it to stop recording if there is no movement and to resume recording when it senses movement.Overall, if you are looking for a very discrete, cheap dashcam with parking mode, the A119 is the one to get.

Good picture quality, inconsistent connection
Update 02/21/2019: The connection issue has gone away and has stayed that way for more than 2 months for now, so I have bumped a star. The camera has been installed in my vehicle for 2 weeks now. Initially, everything was hunky dory, but over the past 3-4 days, the camera has connection issues. The camera would not turn on on many occasions the car is powered and I have to nudge it a little to turn it on. My guess is that the GPS mount is making good contact with the camera.Picture quality is decent, but with the connection issue, it does make for a bad user experience.I have (fortunately) not had the opportunity to test the G-sensor for emergency recording.

like it with some disappointments
Time to upgrade my A118c (still works). Very much like the A118c, this A119c is well designed, well priced and hope it will last as long as A118c.One star off for mounting design and no auto day light saving.- Still have no auto day light saving in 2019! Hope there's a software update to fix this, very easy to program this. I guess they do not use day light savings in China, so this isn't something they care. I will not buy this next time around with no auto day light saving, this is a set and forget type of device, do not want to change time twice a year.- Mounting changed slightly from A118 to A119, no idea why, keeping the same mount would keep people from switching to another camera! Also, if i buy the camera first and later on wanted to add GPS, I had to remove the mount glued to the windshield to use the GPS mount! Ridiculous design. It should have a standard mount where everything else can be clipped on. - Land changing and Forward collision warning is a joke, wasn't expecting much anyways.- don't care much about the other non essential useless stuff included in the box. Cut the price instead of adding useless stuff like the piece of very weak cotton thread for removing the mount, micro usb OTG , usb cables.- The camera is a bit bulkier than the A118c.- voice recording is weak.- No problem reading lic plate numbers from the vehicle directly in front of you. Don't expect anything more than this.

Works great for a good price.
I had a Mobius action cam setup for loop recording since 2012 and that was still working good in my car, but I wanted somthing with more detail in the video quality and GPS. The A119 V2 seems to be the best version to get over all the different versions if you do your research. So far so good in about 15 hours driving and the GPS works great at auto updating the time, date and speed your travelling which is burnt into the video recording. I will dock 1 star for not having a bundle that included Viofo's 32GB MLC Nand micro SD memory. I ordered it seperate and that likely cost me more money than getting it in a bundle. They include the CPL filter and GPS module in the bundle I bought so why not offer me savings on the proper dash cam memory type also for the people that need compatible memory for it.

Basic and Functional
Easy to install and setup in general. Just some comments for fellow purchasers.1 I installed it beneath the rear mirror. Unfortunately did not allow for removal distance when taking unit off the window. Had to reposition the unit.2 It has a couple of additional options, lane departure and forward collision warning. Found it to be useless. Drove over the road lines, no warning. Drove the vehicle upto a wall, no warning.3 It beeps randomly then the screen turns off again.4 Tried to connect the unit to my PC to run an update. Gave up trying to connect and download. In general it is an adequate device that sits unobtrusively on the windscreen. Would recommend it as a basic unit.

Already Has Paid For Itself
True story---this was bought for someone due to a number of driving offences that the courts decided (because of his previous bad habits) he was guilty of, even though they were questionable decisions by the officer(s). He was pulled yesterday at 3km. over the limit. There had been a vehicle passing him at the time. The officer told him he had been 15 km. over. At that point he told the officer that he had proof, and that the camera that was installed would show the GPS coordinates , exact time, and precise speed if he wanted to go to court, and that the conversation they were having was being recorded. Suddenly, when confronted with this information, the officer stated that "Maybe he'd made a mistake..." and the ticket wasn't written. Camera saved the day, and the ticket! Can't ask for better results.

Excellent value
This is the fourth Viofo dash cam i’ve purchased in the past years (two 118s for parents, two A119s for our vehicles). All still going strong with zero issues. I live in frosty Alberta and these babies take the extreme temps with no issues (they’ve never not worked). This cam was my latest buy - picture quality is excellent, even at night. Filter cuts the glare nicely and the GPS is just plain cool. Installs are dead easy (i hardwired). I really don’t understand what features a cam that costs two or three times more gets you that this one doesn’t have. I use the iFlashDevice app and pair it with Boneview’s plug-in card reader to view recorded video right on my iPhone - works flawlessly.
