Kovertek Kurtis Chalet Style Porch Canopy (2165mm, White with Grey)

Ordered this to fit over our front door. It arrived within a couple of days and looked fantastic, very solid and sturdy parts. On opening it we discovered that the gap above our door was not wide enough to fit it so we reluctantly had to return it. Kovertek were superb, accepted it back without question and gave an instant refund. Great customer service and a great product we are just disappointed we could not fit it over our door.

I bought this canopy from a distributor rather than Kovertek as it was a few pounds cheaper.The item arrived within a few days and was well packed and on inspection found a note attached to the installation instructions stating that 'There is an optional free of charge large side bracket included in the kit, which you might find preferable' - there were 2 brackets and whether these were to make the support stronger or looked better I don't know but they did look better so decided to use them.I studied the installation instructions & wrote to the supplier making the following points and asking to be confirmed if possible,1/ Wall brackets - The instructions say 'keeping the tops level mark the holes' but there are no holes in the brackets to mark the wall to although the diagram does show holes in the brackets. I have assumed them to be central and drilled holes accordingly.2/ There are 9+(actually 10) large washers in the pack but no where are they mentioned, are they to be used as 'packing to bring the fronts of the brackets straight & level or are they for another purpose?A last minor point - the instructions for the frame assembly say 'make shore(should be 'sure') all the corner plates' - perhaps Kovertek would like to correct this on future leaflets.The supplier said they would pass on the comments to Kovertek.I carried on with the installation.The instructions were comparatively straight forward although I experienced a number of problems and once again wrote to the supplier with the following:-'Further to my previous email, I have now installed the canopy albeit with some difficulty as per below:-1/ There should be a warning on the item that it requires at least 2 people to install.2/ When assembling the frame there should be an indication as to where the screws fixing the eaves beams should be as I drilled the pilot hole in a central position and found the roof panel fixing hole was almost in the same position.3/ The parts list lists 'roof tile connectors x8 long x2 short' I received x9 long & no short ones, I was able to use the extra long one to create the 2 short ones, if this was the intention it should have been stated.4/ The 30mm * 6mm bolt were far too long. This does not matter for 8 of them but the other 8 remain visible and look unsightly and will probably rust over a period of time.5/ On my last email I pointed out that there were no fixing holes in the wall brackets and no instructions as to where to put them, as stated I drilled them centrally & subsequently found that the box spanner tool provided could not be used because another part of the bracket prevented it.The finished installation looks good with the exception of the visible bolts 4/ and visible short screws under the frame, Kovertek provide cover caps for some bolts why not all? The provision of 2 free large side brackets were a nice touch and are preferable to the short ones. Overall a nice product spoilt only by an apparent lack of communication & product proving between departments at Kovertek.I would be interested to hear Kovertek's reply/comments, I am sure you would to prevent queries on future sales.'Again the supplier said they would pass on the comments. I wrote to the supplier 2 weeks later asking if Kovertek had responded and got the following reply:-'HI, no we haven’t had a reply. We are however evaluating what we now offer on amazon as a result of your feedback'The distributor is clearly not impressed with Kovertek and neither am I. The finished product looks good from a distance but ruined by the points above and a lack of after sales support from Kovertek.
