The Amatrix manual is written in good English with detailed diagrams. Some of the advanced programming took a while to get through to me, but it works fine with just the basics. • The dry cleaning picked up masses of cat hair and litter-box tracking that was invisible to my eyes. While the capacity looks small, it cleaned both the living and dining rooms before I decided to empty it, and without the cat hair it probably could do more. • The mop cleaning is rather light because it doesn't suck up any water, just wipes it away with the absorbent cloth; however the rotating brush is very dense so it also dries the floor quickly. I even used it on my (very forgiving) low-pile carpet to dilute the cat pee, by first spraying the carpet lightly with vinegar and water, then activating the robot's mop function. Again the dense rotating brush seemed to help dry the carpet quickly. • Last but very important: the dust box is a breeze to empty, as like magic the cat hair does not get stuck in the brush but goes straight through to the bin. • I thank my six cats for suggesting I find a better way to clean. They think the Amatrix is the greatest toy yet, and both co-exist without damaging each other. For its performance and price, the Amatrix is an outstanding value. I went from avoiding vacuuming as long as possible to wanting to vacuum every day just for the fun of it.UPDATE • Pro: The dust collection bin is super easy to empty and clean. Con: some metal parts in both the dry bin and the mop bin have started to rust after five months.

Love this little thing. Works well and isn’t difficult to operate or clean. Wish their was an app for it, but it does come with its own remote, which works just fine as well. Haven’t tried it out on steps yet, but otherwise works on my tile floors and doesn’t get caught when it goes up in the area rugs. Very pleased with this purchase.

This is a great little robot vacuum! I have already tried all of its functions: just vacuuming, vacuuming and mopping simultaneously, UV light, scheduled cleaning, all 4 modes. I only wish it had a zig-zag mode to make sure every inch of the floor is sparkling. This robot just rolls everywhere sporadically, so I need to direct it with the remote every now and then. However, for the price and the amount if functions it offers, I could not be happier with the purchase. There is no other robot vacuum out there that's under $200, has a vacuuming and mopping function, sterilizes with a UV light, is quiet in operation, and is powerful enough to handle carpets.Vacuuming is perfect - it handles my carpet well, does a good job of avoiding obstacles (with the exception of wall-following mode), and does not fall of the stairs.Dual vacuuming and mopping function works as described. The amount of solution it releases is just enough to clean my hardwood floors without damaging them.I already told all my friends about this machine and how much I am pleased with it.

After reading many reviews, I finally after years of being curious about robot vacuums, decided to buy this one.It ran around my house for the first time today. It kind of aimlessly runs around going over the same spots several times. But for the price I think it works great. The one thing that I really like about it, is that you can direct it around with its remote control, which is nice to be able to help direct it around when you want to.I have area rugs with tassels, it went over the tassels but it would sometimes get hung up on them. But it didn't get tangled up with them too bad and was able to get itself off of them and onto the rug without too much problem. I'm thinking about trimming the tassels a bit to make it easier on it. I have one thick area rug that I was surprised when it was able to get up onto it, but with it running off the sides of it, it was having traction issues, so I decided to pick that rug up for it.It appears to be built very well and appears to work as good as many of the more expensive models.I really like all of the features it has. The full function remote control, the ability to also mop floors which I haven't tried yet, but it looks like it should do a good job. It has a digital display with buttons you can also use on it. I was very surprised that it talks to you, telling when it's starting to clean and when going home and when it gets on its charging base, it tells you that its charging. If it has an issue with traction or something it will tell you what's wrong.It appears to have been very well thought out when it was designed, I am very impressed with it.

Robot requires aremote to function, if you want any features to work other than just "clean." My remote didn't work at all, new batteries didn't help. Return was easy, refund complete, for which I am grateful. But according to the instructions you have to be careful not to slosh the cleaning liquid around or the robot can be damaged. Too fragile for me. Bought a Hobot robot mop instead, cannot find on Amazon. It's an amazing mopping robot. Turn it upside down to pull off the pads when done, nothing spills or breaks.

The robot does help keep up with dog hair during the week. We have high transitions fro room to room though, so I have to block off the living room or else he will get stuck on the threshold. He has gotten stuck under furniture once or twice, but overall does a decent job.

The vacuum works well but the mopping, not so much. The solution puts out two streaks instead of a solid streak that is equal to the size of the pad.
