Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments - PlayStation 4

This game is absolutely amazing! Its full-on interactive, similar to games like - "The Last of US, and Hard Rain". The games beautiful, yet none-open world environments will captivate you and hold your interest at every turn. This game is like a movie and develops all the characters throughout your journey. This game is mainly about solving murder mysteries and crimes. There are lots of areas that are gruesome and bloody, with plenty to investigate. It can get a little difficult at times because this game makes you think like a real life police detective. You've got to figure things out on your own in order to beat this difficult game. Overall, I love the roller-coaster ride of emotions and intrigue the games characters will take you through everywhere you go throughout your complex interactive environment. Use the environment and interactions with others you meet to solve crimes. The clues are there you have to figure it out!1. This game is highly interactive.2. You must look for clues in your environment.3. This game has gruesome, and bloody crime scenes.4. The computer graphics & detail are PS3 level.5. The environment is full of detail and realism.6. This game is full of mystery.7. This game has lots of trophies to collect, including a platinum Trophy.8. You control everything that happens.9. The stories and mysteries are shocking and will test you to the limit.10. The sound quality is poor, graphics are PS3 level, and interactive environments are somewhat fair...all these areas need lots of improvement in my opinion.11. You "fast track" to all your environments for travel.12. Crime investigations are very hard, pay attention to detail, take notes.13. The puzzles are very hard.14. NOT and action game. Game is slow, interactive, and you must pay attention to detail.15. Its a 3rd person game.16. The software needs more work, its kind of spotty, needs better compression,and clarity. Software team should seek guidance from the pro's who worked on(A-List)games like: The Last of Us, Splinter Cell, Killzone4, Watch Dog, Grand theft Auto-V, Assassins Creed, Far Cry-4, to bring this game up to par...but overall, its a fabulous game!17. They need to make this game (full-on) open world environment...the new standard.The game is very entertaining, and very hard. Its a thinking kind of game. If you are getting a degree in criminal justice, this game will help you in the most profound way. Your understanding of criminal justice investigations will be advanced by the time you finish this game. This game is a type of investigations training tool or simulator. You will also perform autopsy's. Gruesome! I cant even wait for the next installment.This is my opinion,Thanks guys

Corrupted disc. Couldn't play the game.

This is an excellent game for what it's designed to be--a thinking game. The puzzles are simple but effective, the cases so far are interesting, and I really like the new "collect facts--> establish conceptual links via a pretty cool neural network-type GUI--> make decisions--> decide how you will enforce justice" circuit. This is what sets the game apart from the others. Very immersive, and technically very sound in this area. Walking around is a bit clunky, but it's not a deal breaker. If you enjoyed the first game, you'll enjoy the huge improvements and additional mysteries in this one. I'm enjoying it very much.Update: Playing through yet another case, it's very apparent that for some reason the diversity of challenging puzzles from the first game are almost totally absent in this one. So far I've had a few "scent" clues that involve rotating pieces of a 3D picture until it creates an image which then cues Sherlock's memory and helps him identify the scent...and a very simple mini game where you rotate concentric cylinders to pick locks. The earlier game had lots of puzzles and mini games which kept it interesting and challenging, this one seems to have like 2 or 3 that it repeats often. Hmmm. Bit of a letdown here, so I'm taking back one star. Still a lot of fun.

This game is fantastic! As a child I always had a fondness for the pipe-smoking sleuth and his sawbones sidekick and this wonderful game has made all of my prepubescent fantasies come true! This game is the closest you can get to wading through the crime scene with Watson in tow, building up the deductions, and nabbing the perpetrators yourself!Pros:* No silly or illogical puzzles. The only puzzle I had to look up was that stupid reagent mixing business, literally everything else is focused on the case and if you pay attention you will be able to solve even the most pressing mystery presented to you.* Variegated mechanics. You will be doing a lot of the same things to be sure, like interrogating people, but you will also be introduced to very intriguing and cogent activities to help you solve cases. The developers also did an excellent job of mixing things up when needed.* Gorgeous scenery. Since looking for clues will be one of your primary tasks a great deal of effort went in to creating rich and vibrant spaces to explore. I loved hunting for clues on a remastered Whitechapel Street or poking around the warren of the ancient Mithraeum. This game oozes with arresting (pun intended) atmosphere.* Decent length. Honestly, as much fun as I had I could have used a case or two more. I easily got over 30 hours worth of fun by just taking my time and being thorough so this is just me being greedy.* If you played Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper you'll get more than one nod towards your adventures there. Though this is by far and away the better production.* Extreme attention to detail. You can tell that the people behind this were taking the utmost care in crafting just the right 'Holmesian' experience. I don't think I encountered one bug or situation that the game couldn't account for. Remarkable! (Bethesda take note...)* Dramatis Personae. You get several fun cases with a diverse cast of characters. Really I'm impressed with the characters you meet and the richness of their agency. Not to mention some really deep moral choices. (Bethesda take note... again...)Cons:* Long loading times. But the loading animations are just as detailed and well orchestrated as the rest of the game and didn't mind these being longer, but I was really taken with the game so your mileage may vary.* Texture pop-in. I chock this up to Unreal it seems like it's always doing this on PlayStation platforms.* Stiff animation. The environments, puzzles and gameplay are where the real time was put and animations are a little off because of this.* I must wait for a sequel. Hopefully we get one sooner than the years it took between Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper and this one. (If you're a developer of this game I would just like to add: "Please Sir, I want some more!")

Very entertaining and mixes investigation, story and puzzles nicely. The graphics are not that good and gameplay sometimes limited.

続編にあたる悪魔の娘は完全ローカライズされたんですがこちらは英語音声＋英語字幕のみです。Steam（PC）だけアップデートで日本語化されてますのでじっくりプレイしたい場合はそちらをどうぞ。PS3、PS4版ともにアップデートはなく日本語非対応です。操作、ゲームの流れはdevils daughter と同じです。足跡、証拠、死体のチェック手帳につけて目撃者やVictim（被害者）から証言をとってシナプス論理で結論へ...最悪の場合は攻略サイトがあるためクリアはできると思いますが北米ソフトの中では英語が難しい方ではないので特に問題ないと思われます。なお悪魔の娘は必要以上にプラチナトロフィー取得が簡単でしたがこちらはコンプリートまで少々手こずりますのでお気をつけをホームズの罪と罰とは何か？死体が歩く？消えた証拠？推理好きにはたまらんです。ちなみに画質も正直良い方ではないですし色んな面でPS3版と差がないこともお伝えします。在庫不足で価格が高騰気味の時はPS4版にこだわらずPS3版でも良いと思いますよ。

This game is very addictive. Once you start playing it is very difficult to stop. It brings you through various difficult mysteries to solve. Uses a lot of your brain power.

北米版だから覚悟はしてたけど、日本語字幕はまだ未対応だから英語に強いひとは楽しめるかな
