Speed pad hard cloth
Size: LARGE (460 x 400 x 4 mm)Surface Material: ClothFoam hardness: HardStitched Edges: YesPad Speed: Medium-FastPlease note ONLY the large version of this pad is 4mm in thickness, the XL size and medium size are 3mm in thickness. If you prefer thicker than 3mm your only option is the large version at time of writing. The pad design is very vibrant, I personally think it looks good but is overstated. That is a personal opinion and reflects nothing towards the rating. This pad is a medium-fast pad in terms of cloth, your mouse will not spin more than 180 degrees if you flick it around and will only glide half the pad if you give it a decent push. The pad has a very solid/hard foam base which means it has little give when pressed inward. Meaning your mouse movements will barely slow down if you put pressure on the pad compared to a softer cloth pad. This is ideal if you prefer a pad where you can quickly track a moving target with mostly speed and some control. I personally find this surface type harder on the wrist but understand the competitive benefit to people who want a 'free-glide' feeling. The edges are stitched which improves longevity and apparently reduces fraying, I have never had a non-stitched pad fray on me in 20+ years of gaming so there is no benefit to me personally with this addition. I just find stitched edges reduce the usable area of the mousepad. The stitched edges as per my screenshots is very low profile so they do not get in the way at all. In the past I have used pads which have stitched edges but they're raised a lot.The rear of the pad is your standard non-slip rubber, I applied heavy hand force and tried to budge the pad up/down the table (treated wood) and it had no movement which is expected nowadays. The pad out of box was about 90% flat with just the left side being slightly raised. I prefer pads that are 100% flat out of box but i digress it will become flat eventually, I do not reverse roll the pad because I feel like that creates creases which can be annoying, cannot confirm that will happen on this surface but I've been in the game a long time and won't even bother to try.Pad states its machine washable, I would never even try. Washing machines can be brutal to delicate fabrics with how fast they spin; if you want to clean the pad I always vouch for using a lightly damp microfiber cloth and giving it a wipe then air drying. In a worst case scenario (which should never be a case as long as you do not eat/drink near your mousepad) baby shampoo with a micro fiber cloth. If you try a washing machine I wish you the best but do not be surprised when your mousepad is ruined. I am not stating this as a fact for this specific pad just past experiences.Overall this pad is in similar size/thickness/price to comparable pads, namely the QCK Heavy and likes. The mousepad market is really saturated as well as the mouse market now in 2024 - which was not the case 15 or so years ago. Does this pad really do anything to stand out from the per-exisiting market? Not really, but does it check all the boxes to make a decent mousepad for the price? Yes.Basically if you are looking for a cloth pad leaning on a speed side with a nice design, then this meets that mark. Does it feel some niche that has not already been met on the market? NoI also wanted to note which is also in my screenshots the logo is on the bottom of the pad to the top-right, I did like that because it's non-invasive. There have been companies in the past who would include that logo on the mousepad and it was infuriating. I cannot tell if the mousepad is coated and do not want to provide any false information so you can try yourself or e-mail the MFG for more information on that. The weave of the pad itself is very tight-nite and I have no doubt this pad will hold up easily for more than 2 years. I used it extensively for two days and had a mixed experience. Of course mousepads are not a big change like a mouse but it does mess with muscle memory slightly.I had some high-accuracy matches but they were outliers, then I had some inconsistent matches where I was either under or overshooting. With time I will get the muscle memory adjustment of the increased glide with this pad.The GP5 weave also causes an ever so slight increase in LOD for my mouse, it may vary from mouse to mouse. I don't mind higher LOD I find it actually is more accurate to have higher LOD compared to super low LOD. So all in all the GP5 is a great large cloth pad for the price. It performs well and is comparable to bigger and alternative niche brands. I can easily recommend it; although I cannot openly state it is better than competitors on the market. Hope this helps!Edit: Additionally is a screenshot of the medium version of the pad in black. It is the same exact as the amnis blue except it is 3mm in thickness. I find the medium sized too small for any realistic gaming use unless you strictly play MMO/MOBA/RPG where you do not need a large surface. The weave by hand feels the exact same, cannot tell if it is an uncoated or coated version so I am going to say its similar. If you were going to get either of these the large version would be my personal best pick.

Large surface area mousepad
Pros Large surface area for larger gaming gestures and movement Nice surface, mouse glides well over it Grips well and is heavy enough to stay where putCons A bit priceyI have been gaming on a computer for a long time, and run into an issue with the size of the mousepad. I often find myself attempting to move the mouse beyond the surface of the mouse pad. Following this, I tend to adjust my position on the mouse pad which often also moves the mousepad, making matters worse. When I learned that this mouse pad was much larger than a normal one, I thought that the larger size would reduce or even prevent this from happening. After using it, I am happy to say it does.I was a little concerned that it wouldn’t flatten out because it came rolled up in its box, but it flattened out nicely. The sewn edges are nice and should, over time, prevent fraying of the edges of the mousepad, something that I have seen many times. The mouse pad is easily rolled back up and placed in a laptop case, if needed. It does take up more space on a computer desk, which isn’t a problem for me, but others with small desk spaces might want to consider that. The mouse pad feels sturdy. It weighs enough to keep it where you place it and the rubber backing grips without allowing the mousepad to move, even with a lot of mouse action. If you are looking for more mouse pad real estate, definitely consider this mouse pad.

High-end and giftable even to non-gamers.
Prior to this mousepad, I used cheap, free, or no mousepad at all. Recently, I acquired an ergonomic left-hand mouse for under $10. Using it felt like scraping the skin off the plastic folding table I use as a desk. That is to say, the mouse’s skates (feet) were useless. I’d never met a mouse that required a mousepad, but here we are.A mousepad search turned this up CHERRY Xtrfy’s G5 large mousepad (~$26). I was tickled to find out that CHERRY is the same German company that makes the renowned CHERRY MX mechanical keyboard switches. They officially combined with Sweden-based gaming gear maker Xtrfy in 2023. The combined entity specializes in high-end e-sports gaming peripherals, so you know this better be deluxe. It is deluxe—good enough to make my crappy left-hand mouse skates slide like a normal basic mouse ought. My Redragon gaming mouse has big fat feet and it slides even better. Both the packaging and the mousepad are high-end and giftable. The approximately 18” x 15 ¾” mousepad feels like a heavy neoprene sheet. Underside grip is good and the top fabric is smooth and soft, with a neat tight binding on the edges. If it gets dirty, per the box it’s machine washable at 30°C (86°F, cold water).I’ve used the CHERRY Xtrfy G5 mousepad for a week now, and it has greatly improved the quality of my mousing life. Recommended.

Beautiful
Ok, first off, I have to say that this mouse pad (it's not even a pad anymore since it's so big, it beautifully painted or printed, whatever you want to call it. The surface works perfect as you would expect for a mouse pad and the backing works to grab to the surface of the desk without slipping. And this is by no fault of the maker, the size was just awkward for me. But I am 100 percent confident that it's my desk setup an nothing to do with the sizing of the mouse pad. I don't have a gaming desk. It's a work desk and real estate is limited. The size that I got holds the mouse nicely, but it is a tad too big then half of my keyboard sits on it an the other sits on the desk and makes the keyboard wobbly. Maybe I should have gotten the even bigger one that would cover the whole area. But all in all, not deducting any stars because of the quality of the mouse pad and how pretty it actually is.
