I loved it.

My second grade son loves to read and LOVES all things spooky. Although he loves to read he's been a little behind in starting reading chapter books. These are the first chapter books he's been really into. He can read them on his own, but reads them slowly and struggles with an occasional word. They are definitely age appropriate though and he is starting to get faster reading them independently. Whether he's reading them on his own or we're reading them to him, he's completely captivated by these stories. He loves the monsters and the art work throughout the book. As a parent, I enjoy the stories too. They are cute, funny stories, without any obnoxious characters or storylines. I love that my son gets so absorbed in the stories and is having so much fun reading them!

My son has loved all the books in this series. Perfect for boys! I had a difficult time finding a series he would be interested in and this one was a good find!

great books daughter loves them

We LOVE the Notebook of Doom series! Perfect for my 2nd grader (average reader). It's just challenging enough to keep him working towards being a better reader, but has a very engaging story line. Limited pictures (which mom likes), but has some - especially the drawings of the "monsters", which my son loves.

my 8 year old son who doesn't like to read absolutely loves these Notebook of Doom books and get's to reading for more than 20 minutes at a time so this is great for him. It helps that the main character has his name I think :)

Very poorly made!! ALL "NOTE BOOKS OF DOOM" PAPERBACK BOOKS FALL APART!! BUY HARDCOVER IF YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO READ IT MORE THAN ONCE!!

My kids love this book!

Both my 7 year old girl and 10 year old boy loved this story! They were very interested in trying to figure out what was causing the mischief. The parts of the monster notebook decribing different monsters were very funny.
