Rich, pork flavor
Excellent flavor. Other pork broths are too salty, or too bland. This one nails it, just right. Very tasty. 9/10

Excellent flavor.
These packets, coupled with quality noodles, make for an excellent ramen base to build on. One of these mixed with 2 cups of boiling water, gives you an almost instant ramen with more of a restaurant flavor. It is fairly salty, but that works well for you to add vegetables, egg, and any other additions without additional seasoning. They are fairly expensive per serving, but nice for a change of pace at home. I was actually surprised how good they were.

Best broth I've tried so far: rich, flavorful, easy.
Tonkotsu broth is my favorite for ramen and I've been hunting for a good one that's easy to make. I've tried many and this one has been the best. The flavor is full, rich, perfectly salty and deliciously porky; the texture is thick, creamy, with pillows of fat dappled over the broth that add even more umami without feeling greasy. I liked this much more than the bottled Yamasa concentrate for comparison as it was more bland, pale, and watery. I actually liked the Yamasa, but now I can't go back. You can't beat ease of use; you just squeeze out the packet into a bowl and add about 280mL (about 1 and 1/4 cups) of hot water while stirring; add more of less water according to your preference. The back is in all Japanese if that's an issue for you. It comes as a paste concentrate with white bits of fat mixed in--don't be alarmed by the bits, they melt down beautifully into the hot water.TIPS: Use different batches of hot water to cook your noodles and to add to your broth so the starch from the noodles doesn't affect the broth's taste and texture. Add an extra spoonful of broth from another packet while stirring if you need more flavor and refrigerate that packet for the next time. You can slowly add an egg yolk to the broth while stirring to make it richer and cut the saltiness a bit before adding the noodles and toppings.

Flavor is fine, but you may only receive one
I ordered 2 of these, sold and shipped by Amazon. Not only did it keep getting delayed so it didn’t even ship out for a full month, when the first one arrived, they had only put a single loose packet in the shipping bag rather than 10 as advertised. Making it a $15 bowl of ramen, and at that point you might as well go to a restaurant. Because it took so long to ship, by the time it got to me, it wouldn’t even let me return it normally - I had to contact customer service to get my money back. Then the second of the 2 I ordered arrived a week later, and it was correctly 10 packets in a plastic bag inside the shipping bag.The actual product is fine. I’ve tried the Kikkoman base before and this is more porky tasting in a good way. There’s a distinct fatty oiliness, but again, not in a bad way. It’s way less cost effective than that product however, but I do enjoy this.

better than restaurant tonkatsu
I've been using this for years starting back when it was only $1/packet. I start with a cup of water with each packet for that intense tonkatsu flavor; then add more water to taste depending on the ingredients added. It ruined my restaurant craving for tonkatsu ramen because now I expect them to taste like this one so I never order tonkatsu ramen at restaurants anymore. I just whip this out when I need a tonkatsu ramen fix. No need to buy expensive ramen, this one makes any ramen noodle taste better. I simply use the cheap instant ramen noodles instead; use any ramen noodle of your liking; then throw in any leftover meats n veges or whatever your ramen recipe calls for and discover tonkatsu ramen at home.

Authentically Delicious
This brand bone broth packets are scrumptious! I use it when I don't have several hours to prepare my own homemade version. It's not at all like my grandmother's recipe, but for packets, they are pretty good! I use it in various type soup dishes. It's pricey but that's what you get for convenience and good quality ingredients. Not a powder! My family loves it, so the cost is nothing compared to the smiles and happy bellies it gives my family... priceless! I add pork bones and few spices (star anise, cinnamon stick, etc) for more authenticity to the broth. I would highly recommend this product and I will order again! Bon appetit and Godspeed everyone!

Shipping my Lord !!!
The shipping on the product was long and confusing to even try to keep up with but as for the taste it is authentic and the expiration date is on the front of the main pack any not the individual packaging. My date is in June of 24 and I received it on Jan 10 so in the freezer it goes for preservation….

Lovely!
Absolutely amazing broth. If you value your time or find it difficult to source pork bones to make it yourself then these are perfect.I will definitely be ordering more.In response to the ‘review’ from someone else about them being out of date, they are not. Japanese use the date format YYMMDD. It’s a shame the reviewer never bothered to check this before leaving an incorrect review and score.

Best tonkotsu soup outside of a restaurant
Expensive, takes ages to arrive, and you need to source noodles and black garlic oil from elsewhere. However it’s easily the best stock available. Fantastic, rich, and as good as any I’ve eaten in a ramen restaurant. The powdered instant stuff doesn’t come close.Tip : buy the instant ramen with black oil then replace the powdered broth with these.----------EDIT---------Gone up from £10 to £17 overnight. Next day delivery from Amazon though, so I guess now stocked in the UK and naturally the middle man gets involved adding 'value'. Love this country!
