Works fine with vintage cassette recorder/player
I got these tapes to use with a vintage Sony cassette recorder/player that I bought for my Dad off of eBay. I tested one of the tapes and the clarity was fantastic. Dad can't handle the new small digital recorders, as they're just too tiny and complicated. Being able to find tapes that fit the vintage cassette recorder was incredibly helpful, and Dad will be able to keep multiple recordings easily to track his progress. I was actually surprised by how many types of tapes are still offered. Now Dad can use the simpler machine that he's used to and all is well that ends well.

Perfect for my portable player
These normal bias tapes work great for music in my portable cassette player. It's a vintage 1985 Sanyo player without any special (CrO2/metal) tape type selectors. Music sounds clear and bright with very low hiss. I make tapes old-school style by recording from vinyl via my receiver to my Onkyo dual tape deck. Tape type Normal; noise reduction OFF. Meter recording peak levels dancing right at 0db. Perfect every time.

Great tapes. Delivery package sucked
The tapes worked perfectly, however I have to give a low rating due to the package. When I opened the amazon packaging I was shocked to find the Maxell wrapper opened and one of the cassettes was already opened with the case cracked. Luckily seems to be no recording. Somewhere in transport someone must have opened it and wanted to try out one of the tapes, and then placed it back in the package before being shipped. I paid so much for this and I got an item that was opened??!!The item itself, it’s worth having if you’re looking for audio cassettes.

Music To My Ears
When I wanted to buy 60-minute cassette tapes to play during my 30-minute sessions on a special pump for medical purposes. I had been using 90-minute tapes with longer ones but with these tapes, I could play one side per session which worked out beautifully. Since I had been ordering Maxell 90-minute tapes I stuck with the brand for these shorter tapes and was very happy with the end results. The recording was clear and each tape was filled and played back numerous times with no problems. I will definitely reorder another pack later to have even more music to enjoy.

Reliable for the most part - but a dying breed, so to speak
I could not find a casette player to get on Amazon - my favorite was a Sony. I should not have given my Sony to someone who I wanted to listen to my taped recordings of certain broadcasts. I tried others but had to return them. And maybe the Colby would have worked, but the tape got all caught up on the inside. They were very understanding and provided me a full refund - I presume they were able to determine if it was a defective tape or not.I search on Amazon every now and then for a tape player because I prefer casettes over the new technology.

Bought for kicks. Not disappointed one bit!
Bought what is accepted as a book box these days for nostalgia 's sake. So, I had to have cassettes to record the radio. What good is a book box otherwise? These cassettes record and playback very nicely. They will wear out eventually. I remember. But, for the price, these are making my low budget midlife crisis a little more fun!

Very Good buy on audio Cassettes
Here is a 8 pack priced very good. I will explain some Wal marts do have audio cassettes for sale . I have myself bought two 90 min cassettes for close to six dollars . Here is a 8 pack for the same amount. Even with shipping and Handing on this you will still save money in the long run

Used them for years
I have a special needs daughter that loves to listen to TWIST AND SHOUT. I record from an original and give her the copy. I use quit a few of them since she tears them up.

Still using analog recording .
We have 3 radio shows here in Ottawa with CHUO and CKCU, and I do a part of the analog archive for friends who hosted these prog rock and jazz music programmation . I want that review to keep for your own record , not for the public except if some of bands heard about us here in Ottawa .

Good tapes
As advertised, these normal bias cassettes are great for everyday recording. With Dolby NR they sound great, even coming from my music CDs. And even without Dolby these have reasonably low noise for normal bias tape.

Affordable+ Glad they still make these new!
I think they may have cheapened the materials used to make these casettes since the late 90's, but they sre still good and sound good with no dropouts and are affordable.
