The Yonico 12247 Rail and Stile Router Bit Set will cut rail and stile for cabinet doors in a contemporary bevel design. Use with up to 7/8" stock. Two flute carbide cutters & 1/2" shanks. Fully enclosed ball bearing guides allow for precise cuts without the use of a fence. Yonico router bits are manufactured with solid hardened steel bodies and C3 micro grain carbide for professional, efficient routing. Rail and stile door construction has been around for centuries and is the most common way to build doors for cabinets and furniture. Our rail and stile router bits will enable you to create your own frames for frame-and-panel doors. Cope the ends of your rails with one bit, and then switch to the second bit to route the inside edge profile in all your door parts. Now the centre panel can be inserted and the door can be assembled.

Very impressive, especially given the price
These produced a very good finish on 140m of white oak with rail and stile joints. I didn't want the expense of a new 1/2" router so bought two sets of bits; having read other reviews I was expecting the first to either dull beyond the point of use or snap. I was actually able to send the second set back because the first was still producing a decent finish at the end, albeit quite a lot less sharp.I found the key to using these with my feeble 550W router was to do many passes - certainly no more than 1/8" at a time. It was a bit tedious passing the same 140m of wood past the router four times but that's the quid pro quo of not buying a better router. The resulting finish was excellent. A brilliant bit of kit.

Price
The items came in a sturdy wooden box with a cardboard sleeve showing the contents etc. The router bits appear to be well constructed and of good quality. Hoping to get chance to use them in the very near future

Glad these were available as only had use of a ...
Made a set of wardrobe doors using these (first time routing). Bits seem to have lasted well, and even with a 1/4" shank seem to have done the job well - took extra care to do many shallow passes so as to not over stress the bits. Glad these were available as only had use of a 1/4" router and didn't want to have to buy a new one
