The water in our bodies can be found in our cells, as well as between cells within tissue. The balance of water in our bodies is crucially important, because a higher water content in your tissue carries health risks. Many people have too much water in their tissue, especially women. There are many reasons for excess water retention: hormonal disorders, severe heat, lack of movement, some medications (cortisone, other hormones, beta blockers) and, above all, stress (the release of stress hormones has a negative effect on water balance). Also, a poor diet leads to excess water retention in our bodies. Here, we’re particularly thinking about an increased intake of sodium, mainly due to salt, for example. The problem is that sodium is present in almost all the food we eat today. So if you want to counteract these risks, you should drain your body of water. This is possible using a mixture of asparagus, nettle extract, hanging birch leaves, L-proline, lady’s mantle extract and red vine leaves, which is rounded off with some other plant extracts.
