Of course, they both do the same job but this plated brass set feels sturdy and give the impression they could last longer and potentially deal with bathroom cleaning products etc, while maintaining their visual appearance.We have standard British Vanity basins but did measure the drain diameter before ordering. Our overflow holes came just above the minimum sizing for these covers, so they were ideal and a good secure fit.Super easy to fit, simply push the plastic foot into the hole leaving the chrome tone ring perfectly circling the opening. Job done! (if you need to remove them for cleaning behind etc, they simply flip off).Time of course will tell as to their longevity, as with most things, but getting 6 overflow collars in this pack means that even if they were to start looking poor in a year or so (& there’s no evidence to say they will), we can simply replace them.Excellent value.
