Flinger F42 Deluxe Mudguard Set, Black, 700 x 25-32c

Decent mudguards to to be fair.Come complete with guards already attached to the stays, you just need to sort through the various nuts and bolts to attach to your bike & adjust. The rear bridge bracket comes flat, you would need to bend it around the mudguard before attaching to bike bridge, seems a bit odd sending it flat. I didn’t need to use it as my Ribble has the hole on the underside of the bridge. Just needed to drill a hole in the mudguard. Guard is thick so can stand a bit of drilling - still had to be careful though. Same with the front, drilled that too.Easy to fit - albeit I’ve done mudguards before - instructions are a bit ‘light’ on info if you have never fitted mudguards before...First ride out today - solid guards, kept the spray at bay as you would expect! Look decent on the bike, I bought the 42’s to go over my 28mm tyres. Cover well & don’t look too big.Would recommend.

From categories for stars Amazon seem to think these are tights. Mudguards are strong and look pretty good, also give better coverage than others so will probably be more effective, not been out in the rain yet. Now the not so good, fitting is not straight forward and the instructions are poor, if you can or do service your own bike you'll be fine. If you visit a bike shop / mechanic whenever your bike needs something recommend you don't attempt to fit these. There are lots of bolts in the fitting kit provided however none fit the holes on my bike, wrong thread I think. First bolt went mostly in then locked up and snapped off with little pressure, leaving me to drill it out.Overall pleased with result, but the fitting kit isn't great, instructions are poor, and fitment is involved.

it's a fair comment that the instructions are not great, but they are hardly the worst. With a bit of thinking it's pretty obvious how they go together and are installed. Once installed though they are fantastic, very ridged and do the job as well as any mudguard out there

In the fittings pack I am missing the adjustable spring clip for the rear mudguard. What I have is the spring clip prior to being machined! I have contacted Flinger as advised on the product paperwork however they are yet to respond! Unable to fit and use this product !!! I want to give a no star rating however it won’t let me submit hence why I gave it 1 star

Prompt delivery, decent quality, but missing correct rear mudguard clip for brake bridge.Instead there was a flimsy malleable clip which I was expected to bend into the required shape. I doubt if it will provide the necessary stiffness.A cheap and nasty part which spoiled the whole fitting experience.

Just got delievered,carefully unrape ,looking good ,no damage,find instructions and parts bag,check parts,incomplete.Missing the rear mudguard clip for brake bridge and 4 stay end caps.checked packaging ,no parts laying out.cant give star rating for install or remove as havent got all the bits.but when i do will revise rating.

I've tried all the other mudguards out there with there clever but ultimately flimsy fitting systems and these are by a very long way the best I've come across.Once you start getting into serious regular mileage the elastic band fitting varieties just do not cut it. There are soon out of shape and rubbing on the tyre.Nuts and bolts is the way and these come with a multitude of fitting options. I now have three sets. On my roadie, hybrid and recumbent. Each are performing admirably and haven't moved a mm since installed.Bravo.
