Perfect for ages 7 and up.
My son loved this rc car! Works on flooring , carpet and the road and very short grass. Not so good in thick grass or rocks but over all was a great buy!

FUN!!! But the pieces fall off and get lost.
This is a FUN remote control car. The way you can change the tires and put on drift tires is great. The feature that makes it look like smoke comes out the back is super cool, and the front lights are nice. There are a few issues though: 1) remote control is a bit hard to "master" so it is difficult for even an adult to steer this thing on a tight course, 2) it is LOUD, 3) there are little black clips on the hood and back of the car that keep the body of the car in place, and those clips tend to pop off and once they go missing, you're gonna need to get creative, 4) there are little silver pieces to put the wheels on with, and if those are not tightened all the way, they could pop off and they are hard to find on the floor.

cool drifting car
This is a cool looking rc drift car. It comes with drifting wheels and street wheels to race with. The drifting wheels makes it easy to drift. The car has decent speed, but the throttle isnt proportional. The car has a cool smoke effect that sprays a mist of water behind it. It has decent battery life with the two included batteries and is fun to drive.

Overall junk in my opinion.
This car malfunctions. This was the second attempt at buying this car in a different model and it still runs without anyone touching the controller and the wheels do not stay on properly.

Great drift car
This one is a lot of fun if you like the drifting style cars. My entire house is an open floor plan with hard wood flooring, and this thing is a blast in the house. I have several of these drift cars, so there was no learning curve for me. The lights and the mist/exhaust feature are pretty cool, and a child will probably like those features more than a teen or adult. The car is well made and really nice looking. This also includes rubber wheels, which is what you'll need for outdoor use. It's pretty fast, but nothing to blow your socks off. I like this because it's a litter bugger than my other drift cars and it has a lot better details. The battery life for .e was about 40 minutes give or take between the two batteries. The controller works fine for me, but I already have several with the same remote, so there was nothing new for me to learn. I like this car a lot and it is a good value for what you get.

WOW - this is fast
This is a very fast RC car. The car comes with a set of "drifting" tires on the car. These are basically slick tires with nothing for traction to hold the "road". Take out the included tire iron and change them to rubber coated speed wheels in a minute or so. I changed the tires (I am not at all good at drifting) to the speed tires, charged the batteries, installed the 2 AA batteries in the controller (NOT INCLUDED) and screwed the battery compartments closed. The car took of light a bolt of lightning, covering 30 feet in a second or two. Really fast, very responsive and A LOT of fun.I will chase my little dog with the car later :-)I couldn't figure out the instructions to produce the "smoke", but I wasn't interested in this capability anyway. The biggest issue with the product (which was packaged very securely and easy to give as a gift) is the tiny tiny print on the instructions manual. If companies insist on making their manuals so small that anyone who even uses reading glasses would also benefit from a lighted magnifying glass, I recommend making a larger version of the manual as a PDF and pointing to it on the original, paper manual. Seems easy enough to assist those of us who are no longer in their 20's.
